Barrow, my beloved Lunacid OC. She played no small part in making that game unforgettable.

I put together her backstory through the course of the game. The gist is that her life on the outworld was like anyone else's: awful. Horrible. She was pushed to the brink of madness by the conditions and people of her city, and in desperate need of escape she attempted to turn herself into a monster.

The ritual was interrupted partway by the city guard. Only half-transformed, she was bound in cursed rope that could not be untied and thrown into the Great Well for her crimes.

And as she roamed the Great Well, scrabbling in the dark, fighting off monstrosity after monstrosity as she ventured deeper, Barrow discovered something strange: she was having fun. While in the outworld she'd had no choice but to sit and rot in her misery, there in the depths of the well, she found direction.

Needle in hand, she danced through the halls and caverns, walls ringing with the echoes of spells and clashing blades. She slept in forest treehouses and crept silently past ancient prison bars. She had long forgotten her misery by the time she met journey's end. Only then did she give the world the same gift it had given her...
