I’m thinking a hibiscus flower with the lettering ‘Be Terrifying’ underneath it. I was reading that the side was going to be painful but I am assuming I’ll be able to handle it. Do you have any days and times that you could fit me in talk about design?
[pm] Sounds like it went pretty well, then. Speaking of - I kinda adopted a dog. His name is Wolfrick.
The side’s pretty painful usually, yeah, but you should be okay if we take breaks occasionally. Flowers are always a good motif to work with. I don’t have too many appointments this time of year, so whenever you’ve got the time, I’m down for it. If we’re just talking design and not getting the needle out just yet, we can also meet somewhere other than Permanent Record. Always a little nicer to talk about it over coffee or something.
[pm] Well, if you don’t mind, then it’s actually both. In my experience, the pretentious types always have the tightest pants– I think it’s a requirement, honestly.
Shorts? Hadn’t even though of that. Oh, fuck me, I’m gonna die. I like the way you think, Delaney. Nothing like a little skin to draw in customers. Or, you know, me. Whichever catches your fancy.

His name’s Wolfrick. Don’t look at me for that one, he’s from the sanctuary. He’s a sweet one, but looks a little mean. Just don’t wear anything white, his fur gets everywhere. Also... he kinda took over your spot in my bed.
[meta] Who was Cyan's first fictional crush?
//Both Jessie and James from Pokemon, though James came first. One of his favorite shows growing up, so it makes sense for characters from that show to be his first. He was kind of a late bloomer when it came to getting crushes, probably because he doesn’t experience them all that often.
Despite their constant failing, he thought the two were some of the cleverest and funniest characters the show had to offer. He loved James’ dorkiness and Jessie’s stubborn confidence, as well as the way both of them just bounced back whenever they didn’t get their way.
[PM] Normal level of strange. Quebec was fantastic! I went to a wolf conservatory and walked around. It was beautiful. I am thinking of getting my scar covered with a tattoo, know any good artist? ;)
[pm] Normal levels of strange sound almost refreshing at this point, honestly. I’m kinda curious - did the wolves react at all to your scent? I’ve had some dogs before who reacted to mine.

That seems like a much nicer alternative to potentially getting trampled in a store over a toy or having a dead tree in your house. Very sensible. How did you start this?
Planted trees, had people over for a small party. Bought unnecessarily expensive designer water in glass bottles. Was nice.
I wasn’t really allowed to celebrate most holidays because my parents were awful? That sounds like a great thing to never tell anybody. I guess I haven’t exactly lived the most traditional life either. My parents are pretty big about not celebrating most things, so I found meaning in my own little holidays. That’s pretty close to the truth.
Huh, that sounds like a pretty good time, actually. Do you or did he celebrate any other non-traditional things? I might have to steal some of those, they’re pretty neat ideas.
Didn’t think about that. Makes sense. But why deal with family if you don’t like them?
What do you do for a solstice? And he did presents on Arbor Day. We both like trees.
For tradition’s sake. Or for the presents one might be expecting.
I usually just try to catch the sunrise and sundown, maybe have some good food in between if I have the time. It’s not too much of a celebration, I guess, but the summer solstice is a good time to think about where you want to take the rest of the year - while the winter solstice is good to reflect on what’s already happened and prepare for the new year.
What all did he do to celebrate Arbor Day, aside from the presents? It sounds pretty pleasant.

[pm] Well, I’d pick you over those weird mall Santa’s any day. About my future skills in mixing drinks, I think this book has finally given me some much needed direction. I’m going to become a pretentious mixologist– you’re more than welcome to accompany me on this journey though you may need to start wearing tighter pants.
I’m sure that sounds better than me wanting to kill all fae. Not that I’m backing down from that, but I suppose lack of killing counts as a decent Christmas present. Well, unless the fae deserves it. They always deserve it, never mind. Unless the fae actively proves it’s going to harm someone. ‘Tis the season!
Love dogs. Wish I could have one of my own but I doubt it would get along with all of the spiders and snakes be allowed at my apartment.
[pm] Are the tighter pants really necessary or are they just for your viewing pleasure? I don’t mind either way, but can this wait till, say, summer? Tight shorts are nicer than just plain old jeans. Seriously though, I just wanna drink with you. Suppose that’s nothing new.
