i trust you two more than anything
Devil-in-the-bush, (seed pods)
you have to be able to defend people who are receiving unjust treatment even if they annoy you even if you personally find them extremely annoying you still have to be able to stand up and say "well thats fucked up"
the moral willpower required for "i hate their guts but my personal ethical standard is no xyz and i cannot set the precedent of making an exception for them" is imennse but important work
Wdym you hate Stratt? Without her you don’t get a story
Omg I love this piece. Grace the hanging man, content with his life but cannot avoid the changes coming; the ship his noose, the rope that binds him to his fate; the blood red stars beside him, Olesya and Yáo the angels haunting him in the background. Eva Stratt, the one who holds it all on her back, the world is literally on her shoulders, the Petrova line on her neck. She will not falter, cannot afford to move, and yet still she glares at us. Eva challenges us, daring us to ask if we could do better, if we could hold her burden for even a fraction of the time.
Eve, the mother of sin, who held the world in her hands and was cursed for not knowing.
Eva, director of the task force, who now holds the world, and still must curse man to save it.
In the end, it always falls on a woman. I could never hate you Eva Stratt
While it might look like an abstract painting, it's actually the surface pattern off a cedar tree trunk washed up onto the beach. I found it to be a fascinating mix of shading, energy and flow. I can see people, fish, the flow of rivers - the record of a whole life story just waiting to be discovered and retold.
I remember back in the “humans are space orcs” era, there was this one popular prose poem post that went around that was like “the aliens came to us in their space ships and asked us why we did dangerous things like climbing mountains and it turns out courage is unique to humanity” or something. And while that stinks of the, like, weird race exceptionalism that permeated the whole Humans Are Space Orcs movement (someone else made a much better post on that), it also fucking bothers me because JAMMING YOURSELF IN A SMALL REINFORCED VESSEL AND CHUCKING IT LIGHT YEARS INTO AN UNINHABITABLE VOID LOOKING FOR THE ONE IN A MILLION PHENOMENON OF LIFE is so much more fucking dangerous and daring than climbing a mountain on your home planet
Never forget that the physicians and "detransitioners" they bring to speak against trans healthcare are paid enormous sums to give false testimonies. They're not legitimate sources and shouldn't stop you from living your best life (source).

A small hooptree, they grow in flat, open areas and are largely wind pollinated.
Dactylodonts are a primitive group of small, swift rhombopeds, the most basal of this lineage capable of truly running on sturdy, articulated oral and anal limbs. The bottom image depicts a courtship display, in which one hopeful dactylodont presents a male gametozoid to a prospective mate, its gift helpfully accentuated with a ring of dead leaves.
Heads up for researchers using AI to search museum, archive, and library databases:
My work has been receiving requests for records that don't exist. We have also been testing AI to see how it responds to certain requests and it not only creates historical documents that don't exist, but also seems to think that database numbers are interchangeable.
If you are using AI to "help" you do basic research, it's giving you false info and making your work harder than if you just used the search function yourself.
Also, we (the staff who manage these things) know that you're using AI, and it makes you look stupid and lazy.
He's actually more freaked out than I gave him credit for okay Kimito

Started estrogen this week (woo!!!!), drew this while having a lot of feelings about gender and identity. I'm so excited for the future, and I'm so grateful for the past :)
