Happy birthday Kurapika!

I finally finished watching hxh after originally starting probably almost a decade ago since the chimera ant arc hurt too much as a child, and so to fill the lingering thirst the anime's ending left behind I took to ao3 and found your killugon fics

I've only read two so far, about to start a third, but I just want to say that I think you're an incredible author. The first fic I read, the royalty author one, was so much fun between the humor and the unraveling plot and how you characterized everyone; I stayed up until 2am last night to finish it, and couldn't fall asleep for another hour because I was thinking about it. It felt like the morning summer sun with a breeze. The second one I just finished, the divination one, it hit like a punch in the gut with how gentle and tragically beautiful it was and I think I'm going to think about this one for a long time, it was calming and serene and magical, like the first time I saw snow as a child falling silently in the night.

I think I might have to read all your hxh fics now, I can't wait to start this next one. And I want to thank you personally for these too, not only for writing and sharing them, but because they're inspiring me to open up a new document and start writing again myself. I lost all motivation to write during the winter due to personal and tragic circumstances, but for the first time this year I can feel myself beginning to itch with the energy to write again because of your own stories. So thank you so much for that.

Thank you so, so much for this. I never really know what to say when people enter my ask-box with such wholesome comments about my work. HunterxHunter was one of the reasons I came back to writing and have kept up with it for so long, and I really think my writing has evolved from when I started to how it is now because of all the amazing fanfiction I read when I was starting out in the fandom.

I love writing AUs for Killugon, and AUs in general; its super fun to take familiar characters and dump them in a new universe. Even more so when you take matters into your own hands and are creating the universe yourself! It makes me very happy knowing that you had such a good time reading through them all. They are all quite different from one another.

I remember when I first started writing fanfiction on AO3 and thought, "wouldn't it be nice if just one person read my work?" While I've gotten some more traction since then, I've always tried to remember how it felt to get my hands on some juicy reading. I truly believe I couldn't have written well if it hadn't been for reading something I enjoyed. I'm so glad to have inspired you. I hope you're able to put those words on a page, and I wish you fair winds.
