Starting off with generic au in the les mis fandom (the old men side specifically)

Javert’s redemption arc, aka Post-seine, is the most well known/popular and by far the most flexible au in the fandom. The general summary is already in the name, Javert gets his redemption arc, typically by Valjean’s hands as a starting point. Although at first, he is frustrated at the man for saving his life twice, it develops into Javert getting a deeper understanding about the man who he will soon come to love. There are a million different ways that this au can give, some are long case fics (fanfictions that involves action and police work) and some are merely one shots or vignettes of them being sweet and healing. This title is also used for Everyone lives au’s and/or Javert becomes a parental figure to the amis au’s. Post-seine is an au where writers and readers alike try to understand how Valjean and Javert work, with themselves or with people around them, when their world turns upside down, for the better or for the worse, you decide.
