Hi. What does Radio ID mean?

Hello!

a radio collar is a tracking collar primarily put on large carnivores / omnivores to track their territory, dens, newborn amounts, etc.

This ties into Alterhumanity through some beings identify with being radio collared and consider it part of their identity.

really a radio ID can be any number you feel you identify with in some way. Whether it’s your awakening + birth year, your lucky number, or something else!

My personal one is TX-2309F

Texas is where i was born and raised and i consider being Texan important to my identity. 2023 isn’t my awakening year, and actually when creating my ID i lowkey forgot i awakened in 2022 because i really started to act more my fox self in 2023. And i was born in 2009! In also biologically female and identity (partially) as so. Also funfact 23 09 is my mates bday so that was a happy accident!

Facets of my alterhumanity

Theriotype: red fox

I consider myself a “suntherian” meaning my foxness is integrated into my humanness. I feel like im on a slider of fox-human. Somedays i feel more fox/desire to feel more fox. And sometimes my foxness is just a baseline

Hearttype: rabbits(usually wild but sometimes domestic), great tailed grackles

I feel like rabbits are a key part of who i am in a sense of my sensitiveness and my age regression. I heavily associate rabbits/bunnies with my regression

Grackles are my absolute FAVORITE birds, they are so dumb and silly i just love them. They are all over my home state and home city and ive grown up around them so i feel sort of like theyre my family :]

Hearthome: i find my hearthome is in big forests with creeks and rivers, and small meadows with wildflowers

The house I’ve lived in since i was 3 backs up to a creek. Ive grown up playing in it and exploring it. And while the woods surrounding it aren’t easy to get through or play in. I see my home in wooded areas with creeks running through.

Ive been reading this cozy romance novel and i cant wait to finish it and buy the next book!

Ive never read a romance novel, ive read series with romance but nothing where that was the main focus

The series is called tomes and tea by Rebecca Thorne and its about a lesbian couple

This is very out of my usual genre but its honestly refreshed my love for reading due to that

I highly recommend the book and if you’re also in a bit of reading rut i recommend reading something outside your usual genre but still related! Tomes and tea is a fantasy romance and i read a lot of fantasy so it works :]

Im going to assume OP is talking about autism but i wanna build off this from a chronic pain perspective

My credentials are that i have scoliosis thats like 1 or 2 degrees away from needing medical care. And I’ve had it all my life and only last year got “diagnosed” with chronic pain because of the problems it was causing for my body. And was only diagnosed and seeing a PT after i had a meltdown about my pain.

(I say “diagnosed” because while it was never stater to me “you have chronic pain” it was inadvertently stated and ofc my pediatrician sent me to physical therapy for my persistent pain)

When you struggle with something on the low end of the overall problem, people ignore you. They ignore you until you are screaming and crying about how persistent the problem is for you.

There are days when ive been in so much pain walking is almost physically impossible. There are times when my pain is a 3 and times when it is a 7. As I’m writing this my neck has a tight muscle that kinda throbs and my back aches.

If you have chronic pain, if you have low support needs, if you need help. You need to be loud. People do not listen when you quietly struggle.

I have 2 tails right now that i bought near the start of my awakening from amazon, before i was educated of cruel fur farms and such
