Warning for the show Young Royals on Netflix:

The first episode has two v* scenes. The first one happens when the main character is being hazed, after his housemates pass around a cup and spit in it. It’s both auditory and visual. I walked away during the scene when I saw it coming so I don’t know all the details, but my friend watching with me who usually isn’t bothered by v* was very disturbed by it. The second scene is at a party. You see a room with blue lighting and stacks of boxes. A girl v*s pretty graphically 2 or 3 times, also auditory and visual, so I’d suggest skipping the scene altogether. Besides those scenes the rest of the episode is safe. I hope this helps!

I love reading all your Maiko metas so I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think Mai would’ve went with Zuko to join the gaang if she had found his letter earlier? Say, she read it while he was confronting his father and then found Zuko before he escaped on one of the balloons?

Yep, and I think that’s why Zuko had to leave the letter. 

He knew that if he sat down and talked about it with her, if he asked whether or not she should go, they’d either end up fighting one another because she would be loyal to her country (a possibility!), or she would come with him and be labeled a traitor. 

Zuko was willing to die to help the Avatar. He knew that Ozai was super-strong, that his sister was more powerful than him, and that there was really no hope outside of the Gaang. He knew that the Fire Nation was planning to eradicate the Earth Kingdom, that the united forces’ best hope was already doomed to failure, and that the Fire Nation would be unstoppable. So, because he knew that there was a chance that Mai was going to be Ride or Die, he chose to leave her behind.

Maybe he would have to fight her on the field of battle, but I think he knew, deep down, that she was going to join him if she had the chance. And he also didn’t want to take the responsibility of dragging her into the war. But he soon learned that “choosing what’s best for your people” isn’t as simple as that--the people have to be able to choose for themselves. 

I’ve said repeatedly that Mai is a representation of the Fire Nation’s citizens, and so this was, too.

We know that it’s September 2nd. I’d put it between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. (They have breakfast and then a free period. They have Snape’s class before their break, which was before their lunch.)
