Afterglow
He rests in the stillness beside me. And all I can think is how grateful I am. To have someone deeply caring that encourages me to flourish. To be the best version of myself. A symbiotic partner who adores me just the same, and only seeks his efforts reciprocated. I don't know that it gets any better than this. Always I desired to be understood -- felt by the heart unmistakably. Here, I am fulfilled with all the charming little things. Breathing in the quiet of resplendence.
“You know what? Don’t you dare. Don’t you fucking dare try and pin this shit on me. You left me right when I needed you the most and you know it. Yet you have the audacity to say that you didn’t back out? That you didn’t do the same thing countless others have in the past, that you’re still here for me? Fuck that. It’s bullshit and we both know it.”

My Poetry Book: The Essence of Heartbreak
02.20 Poem
Sometimes you have to wait
to hear your own
heartbeat
perhaps till late
or early depending on
which way you operate
about three
will do it for me
stillness begets stillness
and you surf
the soft razors edge
the beats break
on the beach of consciousness
but the second your mind
wakes to analyse
so the rhythm dies
and you only imagine
what sound lies inside
“I’m thankful for my struggle for without it I wouldn’t have stumbled across my strength.”

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who dose not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
By Nelson Mandela
I love this
You’re doing a great job just by living.
Etc.,.ok.,.with the final apocalypse arriving.
I don’t want to loose myself again
‘After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul.
You learn that love doesn’t mean leaning.
Company doesn’t mean security.
Kisses aren’t contracts.
Presents aren’t promises.
And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes wide open.
With the grace of a woman not the grief of a child.
And you start to build your roads on today
since tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans.
After a while, you learn that futures have a way of falling down midflight.
And even sunshine, it burns when you get too much
And when you realize it’s time to plant your own garden and decorate your own soul
Instead of waiting for someone else to bring flowers
you start to believe you really can endure …
That you really are strong
That you really do have worth
And you learn and learn …
With every single goodbye, O how you learn.’

“Reality is a sound, you have to tune into it not just keep yelling.”
— Anne Carson, Autobiography of Red (via books-n-quotes)
While I pretend to not know that it’s you who triggers my smile you pretend to not know that I’d run the river Nile. For you, you who stands at the end of a road paved with bumblebees that is so sweet with fresh honey and that leaves you stinging for days, if you take the risk. While I pretend that honey is not my taste and you pretend that the bees don’t sting you too. I will run and make haste and do all I can do. I would build you a suit of armour if you just asked, if you let me know their attacks hurt you too. In exchange you won’t hide the beehives behind you like a secret you’re ashamed of. While I pretend I would run from you and not to you, and you pretend you like the sting, slowly but surely we take apart our wings.
