What is almost certainly happening with Tumblr’s image classifier is that they’ve deployed the bot entirely untrained, and are relying on user complaints to train it what NSFW content on tumblr looks like.

Making people participate in their own censorship in this way and punishing them with the threat of being silenced even if in compliance with the rules should they not participate, is, IMHO, abuse of their userbase.

Source: I’ve worked for three different top-five social networks, and at all of them this type of work would have been done by making the userbase do it as much as possible.

Please signal boost. I don’t care if you reblog or repost, just get the word out so that people know what they’re doing as they interect with this thing.

Just chiming in as a machine learning expert, this is almost certainly the case (and knowing tumblr, they weren’t even smart enough to throw in pre-trained weights)

So I learned to be a clown briefly in grade 7. And here’s the thing, clowning is taking the worst aspects of yourself and amplifying them to the point of hilarity (It’s quite good for self-esteem, actually). But here’s the thing, some people try to make their clown a happy clown when they themselves aren’t a happy person, and that is, technically, lying. And our brains are REALLY REALLY GOOD at detecting lies, so warning bells go off. And therefore we get scared.

TL:DR, the only scary clowns are the ones who are lying.

Amrita Sher-gil is considered one of the most important womenpainters of 20th Century India. Known for her paintings of women, as well asher many affairs with both men and women, she is sometimes known as ‘India’sFrida Kahlo.’

 Born to a Punjabi Sikh aristocrat and a Hungarian Jewishopera singer, Sher-gil learned to paint at age eight. She studied in Florenceand Paris, and was influenced by European painters of the time, like Cezanneand Gauguin.

After returning to India in 1936, she was inspired by the Bengal School of Art, and toured South India, where she found her calling- to paint the lives of Indian people, particularly villagers and women.

 Just days before the opening of her first major solo show, Sher-gil became suddenly ill and died. She left behind a large body of work, which the Government of India has declared a National Treasure, and her legacy has influenced generations of Indian artists.
