Eternian Date - He Man x (Fem)Earth Native!Reader

Note: My inspiration is unpredictable and I am easily seduced by a sword wielding hunk. I bring this to you after having watched the old masters of the universe film for the first time. I am already writing for Ralf Moeller's tv Conan, so why not doing one for another cute barbarian?
Watching over the preparatives for Prom was not your idea of a fun night, but the directives of the school had a different idea in mind. The past year one ended more chaotically than expected and, for so, you were left in charge of supervising the wild youth from up start. As the youngest teacher among the staff, you had a pedagogical approach far distant from the punitivism of your colleagues and that invited kids to trust you. From the institutional perspective, your shorter amount of experience often meant you would get thrown many of the extra responsibilities the weared out teachers wouldn't want to have in their hands.
Grateful as you were for the quickly built good bond with your soon graduating students, you still wished you could be somewhere else. Having some sort of adult fun, perhaps seeing a man. When as the last time you were in a proper date? You can't recall it, but you do remember its terrible outcome. A tedious man in an existence that seemed even more grey than yours, and yet not the worse you have ever encountered since you arrived in town. You could deceive yourself thinking you had anything more exciting to do, but deep down you knew it wasn't the case.
Just when you started embracing the mundanity, chaos raised from nowhere. Having an entire planet to choose locations from, an alien invasion was starting precisely in the gymnasium of a higschool. With no time left to be bored contemplating your life choices, you were running for you life and intending to rescue the one student that remained locked inside. Monsters chased after you, nightmare creatures that seemed to know exactly what they were after.
Like if scrapped from the pages of a fantasy book, or perhaps a pulp magazine, your savior arrived guided by the screams. Stumbling upon his massive figure didn't end the conmotion, but from the very first time you saw him more than one of your prayers seemed to have found an answer. His reassuring gentleness helped you in the task of calming Julie through salvation, and when he spared a brief instant for you, the crossing of your glances lasting a bit longer than it should made you feel as young as her.
A blushing school girl, an admiring mess getting side eyes from Teela everytime the eternian warrior self introduced as He-Man would indulge your curiosity at any given moment you could catch a break from the chase of Skeletor's allies.
" Tell me about Eternia ... How does it look like? Are there any more warriors as magnificent as you? "
He smiled with pride to the question, perhaps guessing in your tone that you meant more than talking about his planet's heroes. He is not blind to the way you look at him, but it doesn't worry him because the curiosity is mutual.
" I'm its greatest champion and protector ... And words can not properly describe its greatness. Once we will have saved Eternia, you will be welcome to see its wonders!"
More than the invitation itself, you ended up shocked to the implications.
" Would you come back for me?"
As enthusiastically as he started, he was far from deniying it.
" You are the fairest creature I have seen in this primitive planet, and the most clever as well! I've heard you easily talk with great words the way Gwildor does. "
You couldn't believe your ears to the casual, light hearted way in which he complimented you. Almost as if, to him, it all was a natural conclussion you must have been already aware of.
"To be fair, you haven't experienced much of Earth. " You sweetly clarified, fearing it all would be a confussion product of his newcomer naivety. " I once wanted to be an archeologist, but I ended up a highschool history teacher. There are plenty of more fascinating people here for you to meet."
The objection seemed to have confused him, since he did understand its core reasoning.
" I see you admire me … Why can't I admire you in return?"
Keeping your glance up to face him without melting was an authentical feat on itself. The restless fighter that had priorly saved you from countless enemies had the wondering expression of a lost puppy awaiting for your explanation.
" Because when you do it, I feel as if you were trying to ask me out on a date … And it's safe to think that's not your intention."
He chuckled lightly, dismissing your concern.
" I don't know what that means! Why should i be worried? "
Patiently and sweetly, adapting the theorical explanation to his own ways of language, you tried to help him understand the mistake.
" Dating is the standard ritual of courtship here. People go places to entertain themselves together, they get to know each other, and if it flourishes the way it should they start relationships."
There was no regret, no gllmpse of hesitation in his sweet face.
" I would gladly court you, … in the right moment. Skeletor must be defeated first, or you would be in great danger if he finds out you are my woman."
Flusterred to the core, you fought the rising heat in your cheeks as the many implications of his astonishinly sincere words roamed your mind.
He liked you and found no reason to hide it, but what was perhaps more curious had to be with the strange interpretation of the information you presented him with.
" Your woman? Is it that fast among your people?"
