Imagine, you’ve been away for a week- maybe you were visiting family, maybe you had to fly out somewhere for a job or mission, due to whatever matters your f/o was unable to accompany you. Your flight came back late, in the early hours of the morning, the sun hadn’t even begun to rise. You tiredly dragged your suitcase, hailing a taxi to take you back to your home; you felt completely jet lagged, all groggy and congested as you watched the scenery go by, counting down the minutes until you were back at your apartment. When you finally reached your stop you fumbled with the keys, hearing the locks click as you swung the door opening, throwing down your bags haphazardly onto the floor, you’d take care of them in the morning. In your exhausted state you’d almost missed the shoes at your door- they were too big for you. You glanced around, making your way through the apartment until you found their owner; your f/o was completely passed out on the couch, a now crushed bouquet clutched to their chest as they slept. You weren’t entirely sure how they got in, but the gesture was adorable even with it’s efforts.
