happy one year to kpop demon hunters!!!

i can never refrain from being sentimental whether people see it or not, so here we go!

when i first heard about kpdh, i had stopped being a fan of kpop maybe about half a year or more before that. suffice to say, i had little to no interest in such a movie.

which is kinda funny, cuz i initially thought it was a show, which put me off watching it even more.

then social media came along and EVERYONE seemed to love the movie and kept posting about it. then my friends (majority of whom know nothing about kpop) decided they wanted to watch it, so i said, fuck it, ill watch it with them.

and my life literally changed.

i loved the characters sososo much and related to them like hell. i started drawing more, got back into writing (even if i didnt really post any of it), and found a community that is so inclusive, so kind, and soso amazing, and even helped me to learn a lot about myself in so many ways.

it also helped me get closer to my now best friend, and honestly, i think that might be the hugest dub out of everything, because goddamn if i don't love her to hell and back (but dont tell her i said that)

i may not post often or interact as much anymore, but i dont think ill ever forget the environment this community gave me, and i know ill never be afraid or nervous to ever come back.

genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you guys for everything, i love you all <3

coming out of the void to say i cant stop thinking about WhiteSnow, SnowFox, whatever (White Fox x Luna Snow), i love all their ship names and i love them and i gave two of my cobblemon pokemon names inspired by them and they wont stop being gay with each other (they understood the fucking assignment) and my brain is full of them and i desperately need more fan content of them and i lowkenuinely might be making a fic of them thats never gonna see the light of day just like all the other fics i was working on and okay, sorry, im going back to the void

i would say 🤔 dresses like canon rumi prior to pattern reveal, hair probably as long as bean rumi but not as styled

Mira, flustered and defeated by the evils of a complicated spreadsheet, chews on her lip and stands by Rumi's cracked doorway.

She'd hardly call herself shy—but Rumi looks busy, wearing a pair of gardening gloves and an old tank top, her hair up in a loose ponytail. She's moving her plants all over the place again: rotating which ones go out to the balcony and which ones stay indoors, and all the while she looks happy and so, so pretty.

But the spreadsheets. Mira awkwardly leans against the doorway, rubbing at her arm before softly calling:

"Unnie?"

Rumi turns mid-step, a houseplant nestled in her arms. "Yes?"

She feels silly but she powers through.

"Can I—" Actually, nevermind. "Sorry, you were in the middle of something—"

But then the plant's already on the floor, and Rumi's gloves have been peeled off, and Rumi honest to god teleports right in front of her—smiling fondly as she insists: "No, no. I'm here, whatever you need."

Mira wants to laugh, but instead she smiles all soft and tender and red in the cheeks because just like that, everything's better already.

'Whatever you need.'

What a feeling. What wonderful ache it is that blooms around her chest—like her flowers out in the balcony—knowing that Rumi means every bit of it and more.

i have a question and tumblrs usually pretty helpful

im writing a fic rn and there are aspects of it that im sort of trying to keep subtle/secret, but im thinking about how that would affect the tags (on ao3)

cuz i was thinking of updating the tags as the story progresses, but i dont necessarily want people to go into a fic blindsided about what it's really about, esp if its not their cup of tea (and the initial plot is)

how would i go about this without completely spoiling the story i want to write?

im thinking so hard about how im gonna write rumira in my upcoming fic (don't ask for an eta, i have zero clue). but i love femme!mira and masc!rumi, we know this. and yesyes we all love bottom rumi, but i cant stop thinking about rumi topping a mira who is so used to desperately wanting control but letting go the moment rumi touches her, and then rumi wanting to ruin her because, god this goddess of a woman who looks like she's never faltered in her life and has an insane poker face and facecard is falling apart in her hands

anyways, i cant wait to get to writing more of this fic where i heavily promote my abrasive, blunt, femme!mira gets ruined by a soft, masc!rumi agenda

launching my personal hc of mira calling rumi "princess" going from being a mocking insult when they got off the wrong foot as kids, to a teasing nickname when they've become friends as teens, to a term of endearment when they've grown up and start dating

Not sure if you've answered this before, but do any of your fan kids get any other demon traits besides the patterns? Like the claws/fangs/horns/etc?

i haven't actually! but i like to think they get the fangs a little later on, and horns/claws when they feel deeply instensely upset

I've been reading a lot of kpdh fics lately and I kinda love that it's almost universal that Mira is Always the most prickly against Jinu 😭 Doesn't matter the context, whether who'a dating who, Mira is always side-eyeing Jinu at some point of the story and I just think that's 🤌 beautiful
