You know the old saying: The more things change, the more they stay the same. Here’s some evidence of that.

Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face Stars fill my dream I’m a traveler of both time and space To be where I have been Sit with elders of the gentle race This world has seldom seen They talk of days for which they sit and wait All will be revealed

For my very talented and completely badass Secret Santa bamf-castiel. Hope you like it!
ER (1994-2009) Characters - Elizabeth Corday
Why Ruth is actually River Song
Ruth wears an R necklace. Just like Amy - River’s mother - wore an A necklace. R also stands for River
“The Doctor doesn’t use weapons”//”I know, shut up”.
Ruth’s ‘parents’ being buried at the lighthouse, when it was actually the TARDIS. River is the child of the TARDIS.
A River Song gravestone being the entrance to the TARDIS in TNOTD, a blank gravestone being the marker for the buried TARDIS in this episode.
Ruth being a badass assassin fighter. River being a trained assassin.
Ruth’s flippancy with guns, and her underhanded trick with the backfiring gun on Gat. River’s flippancy with guns, and her underhanded trick of slipping explosives in Dorium’s wine.
Ruth flying the TARDIS simply. River flying the TARDIS simply.
Ruth insulting Thirteen’s fashion sense. River insulting the Doctor’s fashion sense.
Ruth (as ‘the Doctor’) calls herself a time traveler instead of a Time Lord. River has never called herself a Time Lord (despite sharing DNA/characteristics)
Ruth’s BDE energy that the Doctor just does not have sorry. River’s BDE energy.
THE MANNERISMS. Like Jo Martin studied Alex Kingston. Alex said we’d be in for a big surprise this series….
The way Thirteen and Ruth entered Ruth’s TARDIS was the same way Jack transported the Fam. I think it’s linked. River and Jack working together?

“How can we distinguish what is biologically determined from what people merely try to justify through biological myths? A good rule of thumb is ‘Biology enables, culture forbids.’ Biology is willing to tolerate a very wide spectrum of possibilities. It’s culture that obliges people to realise some possibilities while forbidding others. Biology enables women to have children – some cultures oblige women to realise this possibility. Biology enables men to enjoy sex with one another – some cultures forbid them to realise this possibility. Culture tends to argue that it forbids only that which is unnatural. But from a biological perspective, nothing is unnatural. Whatever is possible is by definition also natural. A truly unnatural behaviour, one that goes against the laws of nature, simply cannot exist, so it would need no prohibition. No culture has ever bothered to forbid men to photosynthesise, women to run faster than the speed of light, or negatively charged electrons to be attracted to each other. In truth, our concepts ‘natural’ and unnatural’ are taken not from biology, but from Christian theology. The theological meaning of ‘natural’ is ‘in accordance with the intentions of the God who created nature’. Christian theologians argued that God created the human body, intending each limb and organ to serve a particular purpose. If we use our limbs and organs for the purpose envisioned by God, then it is a natural activity. To use them differently than God intends is unnatural. But evolution has no purpose. Organs have not evolved with a purpose, and the way they are used is in constant flux. There is not a single organ in the human body that only does the job its prototype did when it first appeared hundreds of millions of years ago. Organs evolve to perform a particular function, but once they exist, they can be adapted for other usages as well. Mouths, for example, appeared because the earliest multicellular organisms needed a way to take nutrients into their bodies. We still use our mouths for that purpose, but we also use them to kiss, speak and, if we are Rambo, to pull the pins out of hand grenades. Are any of these uses unnatural simply because our worm-like ancestors 600 million years ago didn’t do those things with their mouths?”

Now that I’m thinking about WWII, I also really like the thought of them impersonating soldiers.
Aziraphale as a field medic, performing battlefield miracles and healing injuries, and Crowley out convincing too young soldiers to leave their posts (not his fault if that technically saves their lives in the process)…
Bonus forging documents and offering sweet treats to bring comfort–
It all came out over dumplings, as it should.
Style consistency went straight out the window, but I like it. My sister taught me that anything that makes you laugh is worth spending time on.
inspired by @robotmango’s post!
