So, quite a while ago Steven Moffat said in this interview that there’s a clue the whole fandom’s missed.

‘So many people theorising about Sherlock’s death online – and they missed the clue' 

In another one, he elaborated a bit.

There’s one clue that everybody’s missed. It’s something that Sherlock does that was very out of character, but which nobody has picked up on.

Admittedly, this was in January 2012, so chances our that the fandom has figured it out by now. The interviews set another tsunami of theories loose, however of course we can’t be sure who knowticed it. Moffat specifically referred to the clue, one clue. Quite deliberately, I am sure, he didn’t mention what exactly the clue will help us realise - how he faked his death, or who helped him, or the assassins, etc. I’ve been routing around tumblr and the internet and have now put together a small list of probable clues which we all missed (note the past tense) in no specific order.

Because YES. Legit. Cas's whole rebellion against a hegemonic, systematised, obey-and-ask-no-questions heaven, which he does FOR LOVE (even if he doesn't know its true character until so much later), as well as for the first authentic selfhood, is the primary way his character is queered. GOOD LUCK BABE indeed. Shit I love fandom.
