Vegetarian Dabi is the hill I'll die on. Idc. It's canon to me. "But he's a burn victim, he'd need meat for protein and nutrients." There's plant based protein foods that are cheaper than meat and give all the same nutrients, like lentils, chickpeas, tofu, etc. if anything that'd make more sense too bc he didn't have access to food as it was, it's a lot cheaper to get a bag of lentils or a package or tofu than a small amount of meat. He's a vegetarian. I know it in my heart

Also also, headcanon of mine: legumes come oftentimes in cans. If you're on the streets and you have nothing in your name and also you have a fire quirk you can steal a can and heat it up in your hands before eating it, which is quick and easy and nutrient dense enough to allow you to survive til your next day
