Mary Kay's legacy of love continues through The Mary Kay Foundation. The missions of the TMKF are to eliminate cancers affecting women and to end the epidemic of violence against women.
The Mary Kay Foundation
Throughout her life, Mary Kay Ash showed others how to live. And how to give. She gave hope to women who lacked opportunity and self-esteem and financial support to the causes she believed in. Although she died on Thanksgiving Day 2001, her legacy of love continues through the The Mary Kay Foundation, which she began in 1996.
The mission of the TMKF is two-fold: • We are committed to eliminating cancers affecting women by supporting top medical scientists who are searching for a cure for breast, uterine, cervical and ovarian cancers. • We are committed to ending the epidemic of domestic violence by providing grants to women's shelters and supporting community outreach programs.
Since the Foundation began in 1996, it has granted $54 million dollars to organizations fighting cancer and violence against women.
The Mary Kay Foundation℠ is dedicated to ending women's cancers and domestic abuse.
In 2015 The Mary Kay Foundation℠ gave almost $5 million to the causes of funding research and education programs for cancers that affect women and programs committed to ending violence against women.
Cancer and You Will you be the one in three women diagnosed with some form of cancer during your lifetime? If not, you will know her. She may be your friend, neighbor, mother, sister or even your daughter. An estimated 692,000 women will be diagnosed with some form of cancer in 2008. More than 260,000 of these women will be diagnosed with breast cancer or some type of gynecologic cancer. According to the American Cancer Society: One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime. One in 40 women will get endometrial cancer. One in 72 women will get ovarian cancer. More than 40,000 new cases of uterine cancer (uterine sarcoma) are diagnosed yearly. More than 11,000 new cases of cervical cancer are diagnosed yearly. The good news is that women’s cancer death rates are going down thanks to early detection and medical advances made possible by charities like The Mary Kay Foundation.
Break the Silence® Against Violence If you or anyone you know needs immediate help, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-SAFE (7233). You can make a difference for women across the nation. When Abuse Hits Home Home should be a safe haven. Unfortunately, thousands of homes are like war zones each day because of domestic violence. We want to stop the violence and break the silence. That’s why The Mary Kay Foundation has awarded $37 million in grant money to shelters for women and children in all 50 states since 2000. Many cases of domestic violence go unreported, so statistics are difficult to get. However, the Family Prevention Fund estimates that between 960,000 and 3 million incidents of family violence go on each year. In 2013, the National Census of Domestic Violence Services reports that more than 66,541 victims were served on the day of September 17, 2013. Domestic violence is the No. 1 cause of injury for women ages 15 to 44. These victims suffer emotionally too from depression, anxiety or social isolation. Domestic abuse occurs to women of all ages, income levels and educational backgrounds.
NICU Helping Hands
Family Support for Fragile Beginnings…it is what every new parent needs when they are suddenly and unexpectedly thrown into a world turned upside down by the hospitalization of their baby in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
NICU Helping Hands was created in the summer of 2010 because of the overwhelming need in Fort Worth, Texas for a local organization that could support parents both educationally and emotionally. Since opening our doors, NICU Helping Hands has not only served its local community but has had the privilege of serving families all across the country who are looking for education, support, and a helping hand during one of the most difficult journeys they will ever make.
It is our mission to develop hospital- and community-based programs that provide education and support for families with babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), during their transition from hospital to home and in the event of an infant loss.
NICU Helping Hands’ Project NICU is a hospital based program that expands the support services and level of education provided to parents and other family members who are affected by the hospitalization of a newborn in the NICU.
Project NICU provides customized family support components which include:
Parent Support: Addresses emotional needs of all families with babies in the NICU through peer support groups and one-on-one support
Parent Education: Assists parents in becoming informed participants in their child’s care while in the NICU through education and resource materials
Sibling Support: Provides brothers and sisters of NICU babies educational opportunities and emotional support through age appropriate activities
From Hospital to Home: Helps NICU families prepare for their baby’s homecoming by organizing information discussions related to discharge
Memory Archiving: Assists NICU families in documenting their experience by providing opportunities for photography, scrapbooking, and online archiving
Bereavement: Supports NICU families who experience the loss of their newborn by providing angel gowns, arranging photography services, and assisting with other necessary arrangements
Antepartum Support: Supports women who are hospitalized due to a high-risk pregnancy by providing movies, books, magazines and art activities at the bedside
Transport Support: Supports NICU families who experience the transfer of their newborn to a different hospital

What is Locks of Love?
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.
Our mission is to return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need.
Mission & Vision
Locks of Love is devoted to helping every child suffering from medical hair loss, thus we do not discriminate as to the cause of hair loss. We list the following information in an attempt to explain types of hair loss and specific needs of individual recipients.

OUR MISSION
The Tim Horton Children's Foundation is dedicated to fostering within our children the quest for a brighter future.
THE NEED
1 in 6 children across Canada and the United States live in economically disadvantaged homes1. For these children, opportunities and environments that promote their growth into healthy individuals are often limited.
A Foundation camp experience provides programs to help these children develop lifelong skills. When they return home, they bring with them a positive attitude about their future, and the confidence to achieve goals they learned to set for themselves.
We are Child Centered Our children and youth are at the centre of every decision we make. We are committed to ensuring their well-being and positive development.
We Model Excellence We pursue excellence in everything we do. We are continuously improving to better serve our mission.
We Inspire Our children, restaurant owners, staff and supporters grow through their relationships and achievements with us.
Our Purpose is Clear We are intentional in every aspect of our programs. Our experiences are carefully designed to support children and youth in the achievement of our outcomes.
We Use Resources Wisely We ensure our finances, people, facilities, supplies and equipment are used to their best advantage.
Foundation camp experiences are designed to help young people become responsible, caring and motivated individuals. Our campers return home more likely to:
Make positive decisions and take responsibility for their actions
Show respect for themselves, others and the environment
Contribute to their families, schools and communities
Build healthy relationships and demonstrate empathy
Try new things, take on challenges and bounce back from adversity
Be confident in their ability to shape their own futures

Here’s your opportunity to talk to me about sponsoring a child and/or to have a chance to accompany a child in the field with a hunt in Alaska. Contact me for information on various hunt packages available for sponsoring big game hunts in the beautiful Alaskan wilderness.
"Hunt Of A Lifetime" is a nonprofit organization with a mission to grant hunting & fishing dreams for children age 21 and under, who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. We are doing what we can to make a difference in their life, a dream come true. But we need your help, we are looking for people interested in helping the kids live their dreams, without you, we can't give them the dreams they so desire. I just want to say thank you to all the folks that encouraged me to begin the Hunt of a Lifetime foundation. To my son Matt, and the life he lived loving the outdoors to the fullest, and passing on to others what hunting & fishing meant to him. Don Fetteroff of the Safari Club International Pittsburgh, PA Chapter for achieving what he thought was impossible, in March of 1998 he found a moose hunt for Matt for the fall of 1998. The Safari Outfitters of Cody, Wyoming for finding an outfitter. Most importantly, Clayton & Gene Grosso of Grosso Outfitters, Nordegg, Alberta Canada, Gene's wife Becky for taking the time to go along with them to be their cook & medic. The village of Nordegg, Alberta Canada for all they did to make Matt's dream a reality. There are people everywhere helping youngsters that are in need and they helped give so many children can experience a Hunt of A Lifetime. If you are interested in helping a child live their dream, please contact us for more information. Even a small donation can help us towards the kids dreams. Forever Grateful.....God Bless Tina
THE HARVEST
This isn’t your average Make-A-Wish foundation. Step into an American subculture, where hunting dreams come true for boys and girls deprived of a typical childhood.
When Make-A-Wish wouldn’t grant Matthew Pattison his dream of hunting a moose, his mother Tina took matters into her own hands. Ten years later she finds herself at the helm of one of the most popular wish granting foundations in America, Hunt of a Lifetime.
PLOT
The Harvest chronicles the success of Hunt of a Lifetime and three wish recipients faced with the uncertainty of life, the untimely loss of innocence, and the struggle to provide for one’s own. Follow Tyler, Arianna, and Casey as they brave the greatest challenge of their life: hunting and killing the animal of their dreams.
TYLER Age 14 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Wish: Black bear, MaineTyler is a modern day frontiersman, observant of the ebb and flow of nature and its critters. His time spent hunting, fishing, and trapping holds a purpose that goes beyond the carefree attitude of a typical teen. At age 13, Tyler was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Fighting the disease into remission, Tyler regained his strength and a sense of self that escapes most in their youth. Hunt of a Lifetime sent Tyler on a Black Bear hunt in Maine. Accompanied by his father, Darren, Tyler spent a week enjoying the New England wilderness and that which it provides. ARIANNA Age 14 Spina Bifida, kidney failure Wish: Merriam’s Turkey, South DakotaArianna has an unwavering smile that shows a strength undaunted by her constant struggles to survive. Born with Spina Bifida and waiting on a kidney transplant, Arianna is limited to a wheel chair, requires daily dialysis, and constantly battles infection. However, growing up in a hunting family has instilled Arianna with a love for the outdoors and afforded her opportunities to hunt with the best of them. Hunt of a Lifetime sent Arianna on a Merriam’s Turkey hunt in Custer, South Dakota. Accompanied by her parents, Bill and Laura, her siblings, and a TV crew for a hunting network, Arianna spent a week in the Black Hills on the lookout for a respectable gobbler. CASEY Age 20 Brain tumor (in remission) Wish: Elk, New MexicoCasey, age 20, is a stubbornly independent young man looking to make his own way in this world. As a child, surgery to remove a brain tumor left him with little to no sight. Now legally blind, Casey is eager to lead a normal life and prove to others that he has no limitations. Hunt of a Lifetime sent Casey on an Elk Hunt in New Mexico. Accompanied by his father, Ken, Casey spent a week making new friends, tackling the terrain, and searching for the elk that would provide for the family that has cared for him. TINA PATTISON Founder & President, Hunt of a LifetimeWhen Tina’s son, Matthew, was diagnosed with terminal cancer, all he wanted to do for his final wish was hunt moose in Canada. Denied by Make-a-Wish due to the involvement of firearms, Tina set out on her own to make her son’s dream come true. Tina’s success in rallying support for Matthew and eventually others led to the start of her own organization, Hunt of a Lifetime. Known as Matthew’s legacy, Hunt of a Lifetime grants hunting wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. In its 10 years of existence, Hunt of a Lifetime has spanned 48 states, 3 countries, and touched the lives of over 650 children. It is Tina’s selflessness, determination, and grit that stands as the backbone of Hunt of a Lifetime.
