This reminds me of when I was messing about with a photoshop app once and trying to slim down my waist made the whole background go funny. The magic of photoshop, nothing goes right unless you’re photoshopping yourself onto like a bed of puppies.

And even then it wouldn’t be real.

I’ve seen a lot of things floating around the internet in that similar realm. Someone trying to make their butt look bigger or whatnot and bending the floorboards in the process. Photoshop’s tricky for sure without having learned how to properly use it, even for the bed of puppies. But you definitely do not need to edit your waist to be slimmer. You’re gorgeous already.

Just some interviews and stuff. This is always a busy month for music for some reason, but that’s definitely not a bad thing.

Oh, I can’t replicate what they do for my life. It’s fun to try though. I got this gorgeous YSL foundation once. I don’t usually use foundation if I’m just doing my own makeup for everyday wear, but it made my skin look so smooth, I actually started using it. 

How cool, I never knew that actually! Makes sense though, I’ve been noticing quite a few new releases recently.

It is a good story, though, you’re right! I hope things have gone much better after that.

I tend to be pretty hyperaware of photoshopping now. I wasn’t back then but I refuse to be heavily photoshopped in any sort of photoshoot that I do nowadays. It’s tiny in the grand scheme of things, but I don’t want to perpetuate the ridiculous superficial standards that women are expected to meet nowadays.

I’ll let you in on a very big secret. Maybe I’m not as villainous as I pretend to be. But you can’t tell anyone. 

You care. Sometimes it really hurts to care and we want nothing more but for those two things to not come as a package deal. It’s not selfish to want that, I promise. Absolutely, let’s eat. I do drink in moderation, so we could do that too. Whenever you’re free, you just let me know!

As many of you know, I’ve been extremely sick. I didn’t talk about it because I was scared of this moment. I have a lot of medical problems that made getting pregnant impossible, but getting off all my medication, exercising and diet changes to stay off my medications, and pure happenstance led to an extremely high risk pregnancy. It’s a miracle that he happened, another that he and I made it through 23 weeks of pregnancy- let alone the delivery. Lucas is now in the hospital, he had a heart attack and had surgery two days ago. Even though I’ve been discharged both of my boys are sick. My sister and I are balancing taking care of Winnie and our jobs. I can’t bring myself to name the little guy without Luke and my heart breaks a little every time I look at him, too small and the odds against him. Any support is appreciated. I just thought it was time I updated you all on why I’ve been sick and a flake for the last few months with the added stress of it likely remaining that way for a while longer.

Look at that beautiful boy. He looks like a fighter, just like his parents. Taney, you let me know if you need anything, okay? I mean anything, whether you want someone to bring you food, drive you anywhere, run any errands. Or if you just want company. I really don’t have a whole lot going on at the moment so I’m happy to help whenever and however I can. You haven’t been a flake. With all that going on, there isn’t a single person that could possibly blame you. I’m sending good wishes to all three of you.

There are some people who are exceptionally good at Photoshop, using it to actually accent the photo properly. Then, of course, there are the editors who – … Well, Photoshop to a level of nonrecognition.

Photoshop is a pretty magical tool when employed properly. And I don’t mean smoothing out every human flaw and imperfection either, just enhancing what’s already there. I’m pretty sure the people I paid to do this had no idea how to do either of those things. It’s a really fun throwback now though, now that I’ve moved way past this nonsense.

I completely understand that. I think we all have periods of time when we get caught up, whether it’s with work or just life in general, and everything else kind of just falls to the sidelines. It’s good to remember to take that time for yourself though. How’s your mom doing?

Uh, I think March might be a little crazy but I’ve got some! It’s certainly nothing to complain about, though.

Oh, I love getting little freebies from shoots. For me though, I tend to walk away with little bits of makeup. I get given so many lipsticks and concealers if I say I like something.

I believe I was 19 or 20 here. So not even that young, but still a good 6-7 years. This is how the first people I ever auditioned for saw me, which is... scary... I’ve been pretty good! How about you? I heard you hurt your arm? Are you all right?

Hah, I don’t think I realize that I should have been a bit offended because at the time, I thought I looked pretty good in that photo. It’s only looking back now that I’m like ‘yikes.’ My current headshots definitely don’t look like this anymore. I think I look a lot more normal.

Plastic bobblehead? Yikes. That’s not nice at all. The A plastered in the middle looks Photoshopped entirely! Did you use this photo in any professional resume in the end? Gosh no. You look great. And I am sure editing skills have been better too. Speaking of terrible young pictures, at least you don’t look as awkward as I did.

I went through the whole, ‘I do not want to cut my hair because short hair is not cool any longer!’ phase. I have no idea why I look so smug about it either. 

Oh, the A is just a watermark I think. That doesn’t even look remotely close like part of the shirt. I actually used it for at least a year, if I remember correctly. My gosh, your hair is fab in that photo. Super smooth and luxurious! I feel like teenage Gavin was the life of the party with his long, flowing locks.

I think sometimes you need to take yourself out of the equation to see the silliness of things. City Mapper? I’m an Android user so I’m like a default user of Google Apps. So what do you in your free time, Daisy?

I agree. The traditional college route isn’t necessarily right for everyone. Who knows? Sometimes I have moments where I’m like holy crap when did I turn 26 but I guess that’s not too late to do the college thing. City Mapper is basically like an app that gives you directions using all forms of public transportation, but nowadays Google maps does too. It used to be unique anyway. Lately? I spend a lot of time at the gym and a lot of time baking and eating, so two total opposite things. How about you?
