“Are you SERIOUS?!” The look she gave him was incredulous, disbelief written in her tear-filled eyes. “I asked... I BEGGED you not to go and you literally turned your BACK on me and walked away! What did you EXPECT me to do? Sit down and wait for you with my hands folded in my lap like a GOOD little girl?! I may have moved OUT first, but you were the one who walked away from this! From us! From ME!”

It’s COMFORTING that Daisy isn’t bothering to get up either. There’s a certain commitment that they have to their jobs, but there’s also a certain level of laziness to them as well. SHIELD isn’t a job where you get to choose and pick normally, and that’s why this whole VACATION DAY had sounded so damn appealing to him. Besides, Daisy was in higher demand then he was when it came down to the field. Coulson tended to favor her over him, and that was fine; he had worked with her longer and her powers were absolutely INCREDIBLE. But right now he was going to set rats loose in Coulson’s office if he wanted to interrupt them. He’s not letting the brunette go that easily, not when they’ve both worked hard enough to deserve a day like this. Actually getting sleep is like vacation enough, and he can’t help but laugh as the blankets are pulled over their heads. It’s something that is so purely DAISY that for a moment Bucky doesn’t know what to do. He’s helpless when it comes to her; she’s charmed her way into his cold heart and he doesn’t plan on letting her go easily. “I KNEW there was a reason I liked you.” His lips easily find hers once more, his fingers tangling in her hair. WORK could WAIT for them for a change – and he was absolutely going to distract Coulson so that Daisy could work her magic. Sometimes he forgot what an EXCELLENT hacker his girlfriend was.
It probably IS Coulson and they’ll both get in trouble for not answering, but unless the world is literally about to come crashing through the ceiling onto them, she’s NOT interested. She’d given up enough free time and chances to have a little QUIET with Bucky to drag herself back out into the field only to come back and find something had dragged HIM out while she was gone. Today had been planned for MONTHS and she isn’t letting anything short of an actual GLOBAL disaster take her from this spot. Hearing Bucky laugh is like hearing an angelic choir singing. It used to be such a RARE sound that people had wondered if he even knew HOW to laugh anymore. And now she gets to hear it, selfishly enjoying that it’s usually ONLY her that hears it. The laugh only prompts her to giggle and pull the blankets tighter around them in a safe little cocoon like the fabric can SHIELD them from the outside world. And it almost seems to work, the buzzing phone stopping soon after. When it doesn’t start up again, Daisy is pretty sure that they’re off the HOOK and won’t be bothered again. “Yes, I’ve been told my blanket cocoons are my ONE redeeming quality,” she teases, kissing Bucky slowly as she pulls him to lay over her, comfortable under the WARM press of his body.

“PLEASE tell me that isn’t the phone buzzing.” A loud groan leaves Bucky’s lips, his face HIDING itself in Daisy’s neck. They had FINALLY had a day off of work together; a feat that rarely happens, given that it’s SHIELD. But somehow they had managed and fate had decided to SMILE at them for a moment. Personally, LOUNGING in bed all day and showing Daisy a good time had been something that was more APPEALING than he wanted to admit. But he knew that familiar rhythm and he sighs, his voice coming out MUFFLED against her skin. “I’m blocking Coulson’s number.”
“It’s NOT the phone buzzing because that would be a nightmare and I refuse to let our one day off turn into that,” Daisy grumbles without opening her eyes. She runs her fingers through Bucky’s hair as he nuzzles into her neck, sighing QUIETLY. Coulson knows how important today is for them since they almost NEVER get time off together. They work together all the time, but actually having time away from work with each other is rare. Smiling, Daisy snuggles closer, dragging the blankets up over BOTH of their heads, muffling the sound of the phone buzzing on the bedside table. “I can set up a reroute so he gets sent to a SEX line or something when he calls...”

PSA- RESPECTING MUSES OF POWER
This has to be said because personally I am tired of having to establish this again and again. And it has to do with RESPECTING MUSES OF POWER. And this includes and it never limited any official canon stated titles and positions. Be it Ruthless Queens, Hard Kings, Gang Leaders, or Apocalyptic Masterminds with barb wired bats. Somewhere there is always a nice chunk of muses who are always trying to either; 1) Defy, 2) Rebel, or 3) 1 & 2 but with a try at badass snark. This PSA is concerning all of the above, and all that are included within the category of muses of power.
It is so important that this made clear that when being a MUSE OF POWER there is something that accompanies that and it is exactly that. POWER. Muses of power ACTUALLY hold a fair amount of ACTUAL power over most muses. Especially if it’s in their favored canon timeline. A Queen or King can have a man executed for speaking foul words against them, or the Apocalyptic Mastermind can have someone beat up and locked away because he damn well felt like it. That’s because they hold a certain amount of real power to do so. And it’s so important that with MUSES OF POWER that this is respected. I’m so tired of seeing muses try to be the FORCE OF GOOD or the REBEL OF LAW and the muns get all upset because the MUSE OF POWER in question reacted accordingly.
This is also me making note that a MUSE OF POWER is not required at all to be nice or friendly toward anyone, not everyone is kind or courteous. And neither is a MUSE OF POWER required to be so. Do not show up and expect someone to be loving of this or that muse just because sweet words were given.
IT IS ALSO RUDE TO USE STEREOTYPICAL NEGATIVE BELIEFS OR NEGATIVE TRAITS AND MISCONCEPTIONS JUST TO CREATE ONE SIDED ANGST FOR YOUR SIDE TO MAKE THE MUSE OF POWER LOOK LIKE AN ASSHOLE AND YOURS THE SWEET CORRUPTED INNOCENT.
If the defiance and rebuttal is plotted; then it is alright. Because both of the muns have a full understanding of what is happening and the consequences of said actions. WHICH THERE IS ALWAYS CONSEQUENCES WHERE MUSES OF POWER ARE CONCERNED. You insult someone or spit in their face- I can personally promise you something bad is going to happen. But again, plotted and planned, are always acceptable because as I said. Everyone is on an understanding and everyone is on the same page.
