     “It was truly wonderful, actually. Da had to work on and off, but I got to go with him a few days. I got to visit Uncle Flor, we all went on a day trip to Paris. Florean’s a true saint as well, helped me convince Da to let me get a tattoo, so.” Alice smiled, going over to give Daisy a hug. “It’s scary, Da was also doing a lot of work because of everything that’s gone on. One of the kids I was tutoring is at home, currently.”

       ❝ ohhh, i’m so glad to hear that, my love. you deserve to have a good holiday. and paris ?? and a --- wait, did you say a tattoo ?? oh my gosh, where ?? you have to show me. ❞ smiling back with the same level of warmth, daisy reciprocated the hug with great enthusiasm ( granted, she’d by now had a couple of cups of the punch... ). ❝ yeah... a couple of my friends didn’t return. and i guess i understand, too, it’s just... sad. and scary, i guess. ❞
