❝Sorry about ruining your early morning vicious fight❞ Isobel said with a small smile, ❝it’s just me❞ she took a few steps towards Daisy. Daisy Hookum in Isobel’s book was the dictionary description of the perfection, while Isobel cared little for the opinions of others, it was undeniable that Daisy was who the perfect Hufflepuff ought to be, kind, loving, pureblooded. Isobel didn’t even belong in her own house, cold, distant, an outlier, and if people were to be believed, she didn’t even belong in the magical world.
❝I take it you had the same idea as me, fresh air before facing the vapors of potion’s class❞ Isobel liked potions, she thrived in class, mainly because she was a perfectionist, and following instructions sorta came with the description of being a stickler for the rules, she went as far as being a member of the potions club, but she knew that plenty of her classmates didn’t share her same enthusiasm, so she complained about the only thing she wished could be changed about the class, the incredible humidity that came with running cauldrons at full steam. ❝How was your summer?❞
A SWEET UNASSUMING LAUGH ESCAPED DAISY AS SHE CONTINUED TO KICK HER feet just above the water. Vicious fight really was a laughable notion. Daisy was too kind, too soft to actually fight with anyone. The comment before about as close to fighting as she will even get. “You aren’t ruining anything Isobel.” Daisy chimed in that easy way of hers.
She sighed softly, though she had been thinking about potions since the moment she came out here she didn’t really enjoy it being brought up. She whipped her head around to face her fellow puff, a sweet smile still perched on her lips, despite the subject. “I was actually sitting out here debating if the trouble I would get in would be worth it to skip the class. I don’t think Slughorn likes me, of course I accidentally mixed up Powder Unicorn hair with A Griffin Claw last year and the potions classroom had to be evacuated for a few hours. So like I can’t blame him, but still.” She admitted though she was certain Isobel had been there for that incriminating mistake. Hogwarts was great but it seemed so hard to hide mistakes at times and that was super frustrating.
She grinned brightly, glad to be on a subject she actually cared about. There was a light behind her hazel eyes that couldn’t be quenched. “It was fantastic. Obviously I missed all my friend but I went to this muggle festival and spent most of my time painting. How was your summer? are things getting better with your family?” she asked genuinely, almost feeling guilty about her own family dynamic.
