Short comic I did for a zine :) I’ve wanted to draw a comic giving Justice to Kaldur for a while now.
There was this Kaldur comic that pissed me off so bad I had to illustrate my own resolution 😂

Kanji Dungeon Concept: 1/3
(some pictures included!)
So, Kanji thought his dad died. Turns out this was just mostly a fabrication. His mom used to live in Iwatodai, used to love a Tatsumi mob boss. He was fine as hell, but he started amassing power that scared her, so when she found out she was pregnant, she moved to the sticks and hid. Got married, *that* guy died. But she'd never told Kanji about his real dad. Ever. She'd never talk about it, so one day he did a DNA test and found out, yeah, he was the son of an indigenous crime family who owned half of Iwatodai and was very protective over it. He asked Naoto to do a background check on some of the people in his family line, and yeah. Criminals. Powerful, rich land owners that were squeezing the population of Iwatodai by gouging rent. And they were at odds with the Kirijo Group, who basically owned the other half of the city, and built a private island they did a whole mess of crime on. Optimistic, Kanji set up a meeting with his real father, who was having a family reunion at the time. His family members looked like him! They were all darker, had hair like his. The meet-and-greet was going okay, but when he mentioned he was allied with the Kirijo Group (As a tailor for the shadow ops, occasional formal wear, and an ops member in general. He was very proud of this work, and Kiriji adored commissioning formal wear from him. He couldn't tell them that, but, was being an employee so bad? Kirijo was trying to atone! She was an alright woman! He knew her!) They spat on him and started to yell at him about the atrocities they'd commit on the land they sold them, and on the land they took. Tatsumi Port Island-- the gigantic island they'd built with local Iwatodai resources to commit crimes out of Iwatodai police jurisdiction. One of the cousins got apathy syndrome and never recovered. They'd find strange glowing crystals in the woods, and android body parts would wash up on the shoreline. When their lab blew up, the commotion took out moonlight bridge-- the only way to get off and on the island. Iwatodai locals had trouble getting home, and for a while, Inspectors or oversight personnel couldn't get onto the Island to see exactly what they were doing over there.
Kanji trippled down on taking commissions from the Kirijo group, and they pushed him down and almost cut off his pinky! On top of that, one of his cousins ran in the door AT THAT MOMENT and announced that Kanji had rolled up with a cop-- and they were around the corner, armed. Kanji had asked Naoto to for moral support. Naoto who knew self defense, and knew just how dangerous this was, and had come despite the risks. Kanji was brutalized and thrown out the front door. Out on the lawn, got pissed off and threw a chair through the Tatsumi estate's large window, and that's when they pulled out the guns. Naoto came through and Kanji jumped in the car, and they sped off with their lives. When they were far enough from the situation to pull over and process what'd happened, Kanji cried. Just lost it from the stress. A hopeful meeting with his biological father almost got him killed, and he'd have that scar on his pinky to remind him how his family did him upon meeting him. Also, they took Naoto's wallet, and tossed it back to them without the ID. So they knew his address and identity now.
Kanji Dungeon Concept 2/3
Naoto comforted him in that moment. Hugged him. Told him it was going to be okay, told him they'd figure it out together. Told him he was shaken but didn't blame Kanji for anything that'd happened. Kanji loves Naoto, and Nao's great friend! But he was starting to feel some type of way that his social group was full of cops. Like they all saw how the Yaso police department treated him in the past, right?! After doing some research on the land of Iwatodai, Kanji learned about the abuses of the Kirijo Group. He went to go talk to Mitsuru to ask her about her relationship with the Tatsumis and history of the area, and she affirmed the human rights abuses her ancestors had initiated on the land the Tatsumis sold them-- and she reaffirmed the Tatsumis were basically in opposition to her company. Rivals she had to meet with periodically as the stewards of Iwatodai, and it was never pleasant. And she'd had a theory that Kanji was related to them, but never cared to bring it up, as he was her ally, and nothing mattered past that. That's when something snapped. He couldn't summon after that conversation. He started avoiding Naoto, Chie, Yu, Dojima. Everyone. Later it'd come to his attention that he'd broken contract with his persona, and his shadow self had returned to his dungeon and revamped it. Music and deep laughing blared from there. The investigation team of course went to him and asked if he wanted to go fight it. He didn't want to. Whatever was going on in there was going to be embarrassing, and he was still raw from meeting his dad. But that evasive shit was also an insult to his manhood-- running from his shadow? All of his wonderful friends who were swearing up and down they'd accept him no matter what his shadow had to say? He couldn't help but go. He was a man! Time to do man shit. He'd just say 'you're me' and no one would have to fight, right? The entrance looked like a ballroom, buff Gigas shadows asked for tickets to see the Skull Cap King live, the hottest show in town. When in, the maze tried to swallow some of his teammates and separate them. Fuzz and zombie children shadows tried to kill them. When in there, he saw a mirror of himself, but in heels. He thinks: alright if this is some 'f** shit, easy. I've already accepted that about myself.' He walks up to his shadow.
kanji dungeon concept 3/3
After that, his shadow cruelly and very flamboyantly decimated him, dragging out all of his insecurities in front of his friends. "You're me, you're me!" He begged, trying to get his shadow to stop. Every time the shadow said something he'd grow bigger, and hotter. His shadow just shook his head and kept going, out for blood. At some point his shadow got so poisonous, Kanji just quiet and shook his head, defeated. The Skull Cap King's hair grew down to his ass. HIs clothes got more revealing. "Do your friends know you try to stay out of the sun to not get darker?" "That's--!" he looks sheepishly to his friends, and he stops answering. "Do they know you've f**** every DL man in Inaba?" Kanji's shadow, looking like a four meter tall stripper ghoul, in ripped black fishnets, tall heeled boots, a top hat with a feather on it, Suit jacket, fangs, and white paint down their front, having them look like a skeleton. His shadow boxed Kanji off, capturing him, making sure his friends couldn't touch him. "Do your friends know you don't think they understand you? Do your friends know that your father is a slum lord who wants them dead? Did your friends know hundreds of kids died because of his contract with the Kirijo Group? Do your fiends know you HATE THEM?!" "No!" Kanji sunk to his knees. "I don't hate them! I..." And his shadow sauntered to the stage of dancing Gigas, where they put on the hottest burlesque show ever.
Kanji's shadow, in a powerful, monstrous voice, sang about how he sincerely hated all of the Investigation team, and hated cops especially. "How do you like it?!" Hoards of Fuzz shadows rolled into the venue, targeting everyone who was affiliated with the Authorities. His teammates have to fight while trying to convince Kanji it was okay to tell them them about this. Kanji wasn't having it, he was so ashamed of this resentment. But eventually Kanji his act together and is like 'Alright. You're me. I'll talk to them about it. I promise." He turns to the group. "I hate that you all went into law enforcement. I hate Mitsuru for having a private army, even though I'm a part of it. I hate myself for my ancestry, for being a part of the system. I feel so vile, like nothing I've ever done has put me in a net positive after the Tatsumi Agreement that killed those orphans, the people suffering in Iwatodai right now because of my family. There is nothing good that's came out of my actions, blood, or allyships. When the team wins, Kanji accepts that he deeply resents his friends for going into a system that has targeted him. And they discuss it like adults. It's just something they all have to accept, they break it down and talk it out, let Kanji pick some changes and some middle grounds. Everyone gets to explain the motives of their actions, past and present. They also remind Kanji how beloved he is in Yaso.
The gossiping old ladies love him, people greet him on the street, and he has a lot of business deals because all companies that need linen, stuffies, chocolates, soaps, craft supplies, they all got it from Kanji, because they sincerely loved him and his business. And-- it was true. His craft supply and linen shop had been hugely successful. The crafting classes he thought that strengthened the community, and got people talking to their neighbors. Kanji feels foolish for forgetting the immense love this town has shown him over the years, and vows to continue community building now and his friends and he have had a reckoning about his upset. The persona he gets is Papa Legba. --------------------------------- (there is a scene from my Rise dungeon that leads into this dungeon too, cause he's mad at her also. For more context please read my Rise dungeon post... that I have not made yet but will make eventually.)

Eraserhead Kanami! An unawakened persona she just calls 'ribbon' is something she can control in the cognitive plane. She can do bind moves, like magic, strength, speed bind, like in the persona Q games. And she has Miracle punch! She can also make constructs out of Ribbon. She really wanted to help protect Rise after the love meets bonds festival, and she snooped around until she made it happen. She's in training, she's not allowed to go on missions yet. She's weak to Phys, but is extremely lucky. It's an inside joke of me and my GFs that she can run in ballet heels. She submitted her shadow ops outfit design request to Kanji and he thought it was funny so he made it to the T. She has a narwhal horn. Someday she'll be strong enough to protect Rise! She'll just need to figure out how to cover her phys weakness.
High five me if you're a Katsuragi x Yosuke fan! If you follow @ Erskye you probably are. My HC for Katsu is-- his first name is Yuuta. He's the same height as Yu, has the same Eyes. But he's not Yu, he went and became a pilot for the Defense Force, and he's really into aviation and bird watching. And Yosuke. They just kept in touch, and his life was so serious and structured he grew to depend on the jokes and relax talking to Yosuke offered, especially after he got injured. I'm just gonna call this ship katsuhana.
Remember that time in P3FES when the highschoolers of SEES went to the hotsprings and Yuko was like 'I don't look good in these faded out colors, so I'm not going to change.' -pain- Well, what if later she got a colorful yukata? African print? And she was empowered enough to wear her curls, not feel obligated to straighten her hair? Well... enjoy an curly Yuko.
Yuko appreciation post. This was like my favorite interaction in persona 3. She's so cute.
Took Kanji's dancing game sprite and redeisgned him to look like his beta art in the artbook.
I can't believe we almost. Almost. Okay maybe not almost-- but in a different reality, kanji coulda been mixed. I'm sure being the tallest, darkest, textured hair, 'questioning' teen in Inaba would sure give you a dungeon. The run ins with the police would have made sense. When I RP Kanji, I RP beta art Kanji.
This is what I imagine beta Kanji's like today. I've got so used to Kanji with Eyebrows that when I look at the regular design I'm like '...huh?'
Fan art of Teddie! Redesign too. Pulled from Mikey from Tokyo Revengers.
Commission for
Brandon Leake (@brandon_leake_ctm) who was in America's Got Talent. I'm not sure what he used the art for but he liked the art I made him, so win :)
These are some boys from an OC RP me and my friend did, we liked it so much we made some merch out of the characters, just for us. @beetlcat42
I did fan art for Camo Chamelion!
Animaniacsona of me in my in my special jacket! Made this a few years ago when the newest animaniacs season came out :)
A scene from my fanfic! https://archiveofourown.org/works/26258980 This was like... my first fan fiction. I know it's not the best xD but I sure did make and commission some pretty good art for it. I drew this and love this picture of Rise and Naoto. If Rise is not hanging on Naoto, it's not Rise. Like even in the official art. The three in the back, I'm not super proud of how it turned out, so I pretend it's not there. Just look at the foreground! And appreciate these commissioned pieces I got for the fanfic.
These two pictures were made by the AMAZING Aki Ruiz, pro illustrator and all around very cool and talented guy. ( https://www.akiruiz.com/ )
