#how come tummy is so pretty to me but now i have gained some weight all the sleeper cells of fatphobia have activated #but JUST for my own figure??#like im seeing 100 customers of every size and i just don't feel any disgust or whatever to fat people in real life #and i have gained Tummy and this is suddenly a problem? i thoight i was better than this #i havent suddenly stopped thinking fat people are beautoful #i have stopped thinking my personal figure is acceptable #im going to go out on a limb here and say its all the fatphobia i listened to growing up that used to enrage me #bc fat on other ppl never looked bad #and now the fat is on me my resolve against the body image demon is cracking #ridiculous #i can do better #this art is so beautiful #i ought to learn something

You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

it's probably from assholes making asks a minefield of trolling/harassment for years with no real blocking ability, which turned people off from allowing asks on their blogs so as a whole the site moved away from it

but now that we do have better blocking, we should try to revive it.

We need to conquer space travel for the only reason that zero-g would allow for new never before seen pastries, you know how the top of the muffin is the best part? Well that is because it is exposed to air so it changes the chemistry, in normal earth gravity it is impossible to make a muffin that is all top part because it needs to be placed somewhere which would restrict air flow, however in zero g it would be possible to make a bubble out of muffin dough which gets optimal airflow and becomes an all-top part muffin... This is the dream...

Toying with running a spelljammer campaign, I could add bubbles muffins to the moon base...
