Curses, foiled again!
See the thing about Stratt putting all media ever in the Hail Mary is that it isn’t just for lolz or to keep the crew entertained, it always struck me as something deeply sad. Because even if all the crew survived, there was no way they could consume all possible media ever, language barriers alone would present a problem. And even then, they had a job to do and focus on first (which could have theoretically taken decades of work to figure out) so they wouldn’t have much use for The Great Gatsby or a week’s worth of poorly written amateur Guatemalan experimental opera. Let us remember that Stratt is practical and true utilitarian Instead, I think it was another part of the Hail Mary. If the scientists failed, if the Earth died, then what? Everything would have been completely lost. Art, music, film, history. Destroyed. Without a single living soul to remember it by. It would be as if all of humanity had never existed.
But if it survived? If other alien civilizations discovered traces of humanity? Then the memory of mankind could live on and be remembered. What better way to do that than to send everything (literally everything, the art, the music, the science, the history) out as far as humanly possible so that it might connect with someone else in the universe? It would be a long shot, a Hail Mary, but it was the best chance that humanity had to be remembered

LISTEN we all love Figayda but I don't know how to explain how much the Ayda/Adaine friendship means to me. They talked 1 time about 1 common interest and now they're BONDED for LIFE!! They are BLOOD BROTHERS!!! And holy SHIT that is so real and accurate to my experience of being a neurodivergent queer teenager. They could talk about spellcraft for hours with utter glee. They could sit in total silence for hours with no sense of tension. They created spells for each other. Not just fun spells they thought the other would like, deeply personal and practical spells that they knew would find good use. "I know you sometimes have issues interpreting what people actually mean" "I have noticed you often want to punch things" and so here is a tool that I hope will make your life a little easier. I'm very normal about them I promise you can trust me
The editors super mega fucking cooked on the new game changer episode. Definitely the most humor from just cuts and transitions out of any episode so far. Sam all alone is also always so funny
Is Elaine Carroll a queerbait (bait for queers)?
Side note, Game Changer idea: Portal inspired episode with Elaine as Glados.
(goverment voice) we need to protect the children from pornography so our plan is to remove their eyes so they would never see something so traumatic. if you are against removing children's eyes you are basically a pedophile
ive never wanted to send a death threat over a game before

WHAT THE FUCK
Catherine Mccafferty has her own show called the Pretty Gay show!! Everyone should know and go check it out cause it’s amazing, so many dropout stars have been on it!! It’s on patreon and YouTube!
catherine is hopefully going to become the new demi (dropout’s up-and-coming superstar), which works because demi is on his way to becoming the new brennan (in everything yet still can’t win one damn time, sam has him on speed dial), and that also works because brennan is somewhere out there playing ten games of dungeons and dragons at once
just a simple game that everyone is having a normal time with 👍
I need Vic and Catherine to be locked in a room together to discuss what each of them think spaghetti is
I love episodes of Game Changer where the only way to win is by learning & the only way to learn is by playing. With some episodes, like Don't Wake Standards & Practices, the overall flow of the game becomes pretty apparent pretty quickly, & also there's some surprises along the way. But then there's episodes like Count the Rice, Deja Vu, or Bingo, where the basic conceit of what the game even is is an ongoing mystery. I love that stuff.
i think what made count the rice so awesome (if ominous) is that it harkened back to game changer’s fundamentals which is the only way to win is by learning and the only way to learn is by playing. i love the game changers where they get no instructions and it’s more puzzle based because that’s what season 1 game changer was really founded on.
Count the Rice is already close enough I think Dropout should just commit and make a horror Game Changer episode. Sam’s voice welcomes you to game changer and you walk out and suddenly the whole building is dark and empty except for you, a couple cast members in scary as shit costumes, and Sam’s friend Tao Yang who is standing about ten seconds away…
