Please help my family stay sheltered!
Hello everyone. For those who don't know me, I'm Jess, AKA Frog. My mom and I have been homeless and living in hotels since the spring of 2023. I'm queer, nonbinary, and autistic; my mom is physically disabled and chronically ill; we're both suffering from anxiety, depression, and CPTSD. We also have a dog and a cat with us. I just lost my job because of the instability of our situation. Mom gets Social Security, and we're trying to get on SNAP; that covers a lot of our expenses, but living in a hotel is not cheap. We're barely keeping our heads above water.
When we can't quite scrape by, which is often, I will use this post to ask for help. If you don't want to see it, ask and I'll create a tag for you to blacklist. I don't want to bother anyone. I'm just doing what I have to do for my family. One day, I'll be able to delete this post, and I will pay forward every bit of kindness.

This is for Thursday, 02/12.
Today we must get back to our usual hotel after a legally mandated 24-hour period at a different place. We didn't get here until almost midnight, so we're very very very tired. This hotel doesn't have anywhere good to sit and they'll most likely kick us out of the lobby at 2 PM. We would very much like to get back to our usual room at our usual place and sleep in beds that don't smell like ashtrays, as expeditiously as possible.
Please help if you can, friends. 🙇

It's 8:00 AM EST. We check out in three hours.
9:00. Two hours to go.
10:00. Preparing to leave.
Please help us, I am so tired and sore all over, and Mom didn't get any sleep at all. I don't want us to spend another day sitting in lobbies when we should be resting.
Moved to the lobby.
Mom couldn't stand another minute in that place, so she used her Uber One privileges to get us a "free" (to be paid off later) ride. We're back in the lobby at our usual hotel, where at least there's a (shitty) bench to sit on in a quiet corner. I can lower the goal.

It's 1 PM. Check-in opens in two hours.
2 PM. One hour until check-in is open and the shift changes at the front desk. No idea if we'll get someone tolerant.
Also, Mom is in a lot of pain right now. She really needs to lay down in a bed.
3:00. Apparently, "Moody" is coming in for the evening shift. We'll see what version of her we get today. After yesterday, she might not be feeling lenient.
4:00.
"Moody" hasn't bothered us yet, but Mom is still suffering pretty badly. Please help us so she can get some rest in an actual bed.
5:00.
Running low on energy and hope.
It's 6:00 PM. We have been sitting here for six hours. Please, we can't spend all night here!
7:00. We can't take much more of this.
8:00. Please! We need to rest! Please!
