Civilian is pregnant, and their lover is Villain. If you asked Civilian, they'd tell you that Villain is the biggest teddy bear ever. Villain would deny this claim forever and ever. They're cruel, and ruthless.

When Civilian's water breaks, you'd think they would be the one to panic, since they're the one to have a baby pop outta them. Apparently they were wrong. Villain absolutely freaks out, and Civilian has to reach out and pat their hand to get them to calm down, while having contractions.

"Honey, you can't go around threatening the poor Nurses that are just doing their job."

"Hi" A sent them a hesitant, shy smile.

"OMG, YOU ARE SO CUTE" B squealed, squishing A's cheeks together between their hands.

"T-tshank shou?" A replied, confused (and slightly panicked).

"Oh, yes. We're keeping you." B tells them seriously, hugging them to their chest, before turning over to C and D, "we're keeping them."

How about a hero who's been raised in a family of villains?

"Curses, the brilliant hero has foiled us again!" The villain fell helplessly to the ground in mock defeat. "Woe is me!"

Their child continued to run around wearing a heroic cape, giggling all the way.

"Honey, we can't," she said uncomfortably. "He's our son-"

Her husband slammed his hand on the kitchen table without moving his eyes from their shaking child. "He's a bloody hero. And he's been ratting us out to the other ones."

The look in her husbands eyes was horribly familiar. She stepped in between her love and her son.

"Dangerous? Nah, my family would never hurt me. They're wonderfully supportive and try to let me do my own thing. Work is work, but family is where my hearts at."

"Hero..." she said wearily. "I'm flattered, but I can't date you." She knew what he saw. A tired, slightly ruffled civilian with a penchant for turtlenecks. "It would never work."

Hero's face fell and he let the flowers drop. "But... why?"

"I'm a criminal." The words escaped her before she even thought about it. "Heroes and villains don't have positive relationships."

Hero didn't miss a beat. "Oh, my parents are going to love you." he said with a grin.

Character A is a well known Tiktoker. Character B is a commentary YouTuber with over 100k subscribers. They are neighbors, both are super loud, and both of them thinks the other is the most irritating person to have ever existed on Earth.

Proceed the on going feud that has spiraled into pranks more ridiculous than the next, much to the exasperated amusement of the other neighbors in the building complex observing the shenanigans from the sidelines.

Both of their fandoms are convinced there's love behind the scenes and this is just a regular contemporary enemies to lovers story coming to life.

You'd think that being a super powered human you wouldn't have to worry about small inconveniences, like getting a cold, or being short sighted. AND YET here they were, cursing loudly to themselves, as they struggled to put in their goddamn contacts, because they'd forgotten to do it earlier.

Trying Not to Cry

As I laid there in bed, staring up at the roof I felt my eyes beginning to burn. Closing them tightly I gritted my teeth, the gross aching lump in my throat growing.

“Fuck fuck fuck fuck!” I angrily whispered to myself as I dragged my clammy hands down my face. “Don’t you dare cry. Don’t you dare cry,” my voice turned shaky as I tried to stop my trembling to no avail; hot tears had started to run down my burning cheeks.

“Don’t you dare cry!” I shouted out loudly into the dark room, sitting up abruptly and slamming my fist into the mattress beside me with a scream of angry frustration. And, as if the limb was disconnected to the rest of my body, it continued slamming into the soft surface, my sobbing screams and heaving breaths filling the silence I hated oh so much during times like these. Not that this particular noise did anything to help calm me down either.

When stars began to dance across my vision and I felt my face start to tingle, I stopped. Folding my knees up to my chest and wrapping my arms around them I tried evening out my previously stuttering short intakes of air.

“It’s not worth it. You know it. It isn’t worth working yourself up like that.” I repeated to myself, ignoring how I hiccuped and sometimes found it difficult to get through the words because of the gross lump in my throat that still held me at a choke hold.

“Now get up from the bed, get some water, sit yourself down on the couch, turn on some music, and calm down.” With those whispered words of commanding encouragement I got up and unsteadily made my way out of the room.

Hero is an aves shifter. Villain has managed to trap them, and is keeping them hidden away.

"Pretty dove" Villain cooed at them, as they watched Hero flutter around in panic through the gilded bars of the beautiful cage they'd made just for them.

"You've realized you can't shift back, don't you? Don't worry pet, I'll be a good owner. Soon you won't ever wish to fly away, even when the cage is left open."

“Damn. You’re sexy. Is that a new uniform?” Hero purred, raking their eyes over Villain’s body.

“W-what??” They sputtered, gaping back at Hero’s positively smoldering gaze.

“It’s going to be fine.” Villain said, trying to ignore the knot in his stomach.

His reflection raised an eyebrow at the comment.

Villain’s eyes narrowed, his body jerking away, ignoring the way it leaned against the mirror on the other side. Smirking.

It was watching him with far too much cruel amusement. He did not have time for this today.

Ok, but hear me out. Wouldn't a superhero/villain with control over the weather as a superpower, also technically be able to control electricity too?

Or vice versa really, where an individual with control over electricity is able to specifically use the lightning in thunderstorms to their advantage.

It’s been quite some time now, hasn’t it old friend?

I do send my regards to the young miss. Finding a suitable suitor; she must be over the moon. I suppose the wedding is soon to come?

I’ll admit that I, myself am doing quite well actually. With summer on its way, I find myself enjoying the early mornings at my late parent’s estate. I wouldn’t be opposed to come living here fully, away from the loud city noises. 

It’s indeed a very peaceful place and I can’t wait to explore the west wing of the estate. My father never let me step a foot in there as a young boy. Well… Not that it will be much of a problem now, considering I’ve been stuck to a chair ever since I was released from my duties as a sergeant.
