Ā Ā Ā āwhat do you want, KATHERINE?ā elena snapped, whipping around to look at her doppelgƤnger with narrowed eyes. blood was dripping from her lesser lip and behind her stood a young man, obviously compelled.Ā ācanāt you see iām busy?ā
now that iām back, click theĀ ā” for a starter from your favorite malfunctioning vampire, ELENA GILBERT !!
FRIENDS IāM SO SORRY. life got messy and then if was my bfs birthday but iām back with elena and weāre ready to write !! pls love me
@temperproblem liked. // sc.
It was late and she was sureĀ sheād heard something behind her, a twig snapping or a heavy footstep just meters away. She whipped around to look, but nothing was there aside from the empty street and the glare of a streetlight. Elena just wanted to get home but her car was yet to be fixed and she hadnāt wanted to bother anyone with a phone call. SNAP.Ā This time when she whipped around, she came face to face with Tyler Lockwood, finding herself angry. ā Tyler! I thought you were an axe murderer or something! Donāt doĀ that! ā
i thought i was tired but, SURPRISE, iām not. so, elena and i are here instead !!
turn theĀ ā” red for a starter from your friendly neighborhood elena gilbertĀ and iāll get them done in the amĀ !!Ā
undrccs:
Ā Ā Ā š· ā Ā āEXACTLY!ā he giggled with her words, giving a nod. peter watched as she patted the guy on the shoulder as he walked away. they seemed close by the grin matt had on his face when he walked away. his eyes then went back to elena when she leaned forward and was staring at him.Ā āiām not so good at BLENDING in.ā he said and ran a hand through his hair for a moment before keeping his gaze on her.Ā āand thank you⦠AGAIN. now this town doesnāt seem so bad.ā he gave her a small smile.Ā āiām from QUEENS.ā he said, seeming to brighten up a little.Ā āā new york.ā
Ā ā” ā elena watched as matt retreated before turning back to peter with a smile.Ā āyou donāt have to worry about blending in around here. no one reallyĀ FITSĀ here. weāre all different and thatās what makes MYSTIC FALLSĀ so special.ā she explained confidently, proud of her town. sure, things werenāt always good, and there was always something crazy going on, but their diversity in personalities was something to be happy about. it would be boring if everyone was the same.Ā āand AGAIN, thereās really no need to thank me. itās refreshing to see a new face.ā and she was being truthful. despite the diversity, not many people moved to town. they usually left.Ā āoh, iāve been to new york once! i thought it was beautiful. terrifying, but beautiful.ā

Ā Ā Ā camila was afraid the other woman would be weirded out by her or would simply tell her to go away. she had never gone up to someone like that and simply introduced herself out of nowhere and so she didnāt know what to expect. but the other seemed very welcoming and camila smiled widely, nodding her head.Ā āgood. iām glad you didnāt think this was strange.ā she laughed, taking her hand into hers to shake it.Ā āitās very nice to meet you, elena.ā she smiled.Ā ādo you even know what all of this is about? cause i honestly donāt. everything seems to be way too fancy for me and i donāt know how i feel about that.ā she chuckled.
Ā Ā Ā āiāve seen weirder things, so introducing yourself doesnāt really make that list,ā she teased with a laugh. the handshake was firm, but not too firm, not enough to scare elena away.Ā ānot really, no,ā she admitted,Ā ābut i was invited and i couldnāt bring myself to say no. i like casual things and this is the oppositeĀ of that. donāt get me wrong, dressing up is fun and all, but iād rather be in jeans with my friends than in a big dress with strangers.ā she smiled and turned to look a camila with kind eyes.Ā āwe can keep each other company, no problem. iām sure thereās somewhere we can escape to.ā
rusticgrace:
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā A dancerās legs were their most important asset. Sure, arms and hands⦠but legs. Which was why the second Sarina twisted something that wasnāt meant to twist, she took herself to the hospital. To her, not dancing was akin to not breathing. Impossible.Ā āPlease, I justā¦ā But she had been waiting as a non-emergency case for the last hour, and hope was waning. Was she going to get worse if she had to wait? Well, if she stopped standing and pacing⦠no. But did that make her situation seem any less dire to her? Also no.Ā āI would like to⦠Please!ā she tried again, this time a nurse looked up, rather annoyed, and shamed her back to her seat.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Elena had a busy night and was ready to go home to nap for the few hours she had before sheād have to return. She hoisted her bag up over her shoulder and pushed open the large metal doors of the emergency room, headed towards the parking lot where she could escape to edible food and a comfortable bed. It wasnāt until she heard the woman nearby begging for help that she stopped. Sure, sleep was important to function, but nothing was more important to Elena than her patients.Ā āMaāam? What's the problem here? Do you need a doctor?ā she asks as she makes her way toward the woman, kneeling beside her.Ā āI can take you back if you need medical attention. Whatās your name?ā
thevoices-ofmymind:
āI donāt recall giving you any sort of warning, or advice for that matter. But, I get it, you werenāt exactly raised with sarcasm so Iāll try to be a bit more blunt next time.ā He notes with a small shrug.
āIf Iām understanding that correctly. You and a bunch of your friends just decided to wander to this town that sprung up out of nowhere on the off chance that it contained something you were looking for?ā He didnāt even try to hold back the laugh that followed. āThatās one of the dumbest things Iāve heard in a while and thatās saying something as Iāve been around for a long time, meaning Iāve heard a lot of dumb things.ā
Golden eyes seem to slit a moment, appearing like they would if he were in his true form before returning to normal just as quickly. There was somethingā¦off about this one, but honestly he didnāt care to puzzle it out. Instead the dragon just turns and starts to head off calling back as he did. āYeahā¦sure, let me know how well that ends up going when you actually meet one or rather, five seeing as they tend to travel in groups!ā Another lie, sand snakes were very much loners, but they were big enough that youād almost think that there were more.
āYou did, sarcastic or not. A response is normal when you speak to someone,ā she counters, annoyance evident on her face. She was easily annoyed, especially after having spent so much time with the other vampires.
āYouāre wrong, but Iām not surprised. Youāre making a lot of assumptions for someone that doesnāt even know my name. Places like this are a lot like the kind of place what weāre looking for is. Magical and mysterious are two words that couldĀ be used to describe this place, like the place weāre looking for. Itās not on the map, so we look for places that also arenāt on the map.ā She frowns and finds that she has to jab at her fangs with her tongue to keep them from showing themselves.Ā āIs there a reason for your bad attitude?ā
āYouāre trying to scare me and is isnāt going to work,ā she calls after him. Her feet follow him, though sheād much rather travel elsewhere, away from this jerk.Ā āNot much scares me anymore. Iāve been through enough to know that not everything is as scary as it seems.ā She leans forward to tap his arm, frustrated that sheās even going to ask.Ā āWill you help us? Itās kind of important.ā

Ā Ā āMy fingers?ā Brows knit together in a momentary confusion.Ā āThey hurt, a little sore. Probably from paintingā He paints houses for a living, the career his father left behind. It has had an influx, he takes on more jobs to pay the bills - that must be the reason behind the ache. Ā āItās increased a bit.ā He weighs it in his mind, attempting to give her the measurementĀ āI can take down three meals.ā A shrug, he has the ability to write everything off and this was just because he was growing. He understands sheās trying to help, heās fearful enough to spill the beans about anything but Artās a good kid, good grades - better friends, people love him. Illegal was never his style.Ā āIām not on drugs, i really donāt know whatās the matter⦠I was fine a few weeks ago and then suddenly everything hurts. my temper is flaring and iām not an angry kidā But the slightest bit of frustrations dances into anger, making his fist clench.Ā āI have a fever almost nightly but iāmĀ fine in the morningā¦ā He takes a deep breath, gaze falling to the outside world - watching as nurses and family members walk back and forth. It leaves him with a longing, to see his father walk through those doors - asking if he was alright, what was wrong with him. Now, heās left alone, asking himself but little hope of being given an answer.Ā āI keep having this dream. It wakes me up. Itās about Wolves attacking a girl, it feels real sometimes and i canāt sleep afterwardā Maybe it was a lack of sleep that was doing this to him.Ā
Ā Ā The brunette gestured to his fingers, the way he had been stretching and flexing them since heād arrived, with furrowed brows.Ā āIāve never seen painting cause thatĀ kind of pain. Youāve been stretching them since you got here. Is it a constant pain? Does arthritis run in your family?ā She was grasping at ideas as they came to her, not willing to allow him to leave until she came up with a diagnosis of some kind. This was more than growing pains, more than stress or whatever else the boy could come up with. There was something more going on her and she needed to figure it out for his sake.Ā āThree meals is normal, Art. Is that not normal for you?ā Again, an idea was torn from her head as he gave her a response that contradicted it. He was a good kind, from what she could tell, and if heād had some kind of recordĀ they wouldāve known about it.Ā āTemper?ā She froze. Tylerās temper hadnāt stopped raging since heādĀ turned for the first time.Ā āAnger about small things, things that normally wouldnāt upset you?ā She dropped the clipboard on a nearby chair and leaned against the wall, hoping this wasnāt what the poor boy was dealing with.Ā āDo you believe in the supernatural, Art?ā Her voice was cautious as she asked, not willing to cause him any unnecessary panic.
magiclimits:
Ā Ā āI donāt have time for this,ā Nicholas muttered with a shake of his head. āDo you have anyone else you can go to with this drama?ā He already had so much on his own plate, he didnāt need to deal with the vampires too. Coming to Mystic Falls had been a mistake, but it was too late to go back now.
@damcgedgilbert ; liked for Nicholas.
Ā Ā Elena hadnāt been expecting him to say that, but he had.Ā āWhat do you meanĀ you donāt have time for this?ā she questioned, frown prominent on her delicate features.Ā āI just wanted someone to talk to. Everyone else is either mad at me or off the grid.ā
deathfound:
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āDoppelganger, huh. First Iām hearing about it. I thought youād be the one wanting peoples blood.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āMagical double of this crazyĀ girl named Amara, or something. Petrova DoppelgƤnger is what they call me. NotĀ a fan.ā She frowned.Ā āItās none of your business what I want.ā
i had a very long day, so iām headed to bed a little early!! replies that arenāt posted tonight by my queue will be done tomorrow when i wake up!!
hcpeless-indie:
Emily didnāt look up when she heard the other voice - one she hadnāt heard before, but she was sure would simply add to her anger. At least she was now to be left alone by the nasally blonde who kept asking her the same questions a billion times over.Ā āHi Elena,ā she repeated, her tone mimicking the slow, dull voice of an AA member. The new question made the red head raise an eyebrow, before letting out a truly fierce cough that made her aches only worsen for a moment. Pushing herself up so she was sat more upright, she sighed at the doctor.Ā āOut of my mind. Iād prefer my laptop, but itās apparently still being detoxed in some lab, and I doubt you guys have wifi.ā
This Emily was sassy, someone that would rather be anywhere else, and Elena couldnāt blame her. Being locked up, away from others, had happened to her as well, back in her teenage years, and it had been, without a shadow of a doubt, the worst time of her life. She grinned at the girlās tone, figuring that she would be some fun. She reminded her of Caroline, in the best of ways. She winced at the cough, upset that she was unable to do much for it.Ā āHave you had water in the past hour? I donāt mean to be the boring doctor, but it isĀ important,ā she questioned. Caring for people was her job, she couldnāt help it.Ā āI can get you aĀ laptop. Maybe not your own, but a laptop. We do have wifi, itās just not usuallyĀ available for patients. If I get you in, it has to remain a secret.ā
soldierboynamedern:
The girl standing there was truly that, a girl. She could not be older than himself. He often forgot that he was a young man, that was what war did to people, she made them older, heartless and bitter. He said nothing, frankly, he could not understand her language. Was it English? Polish? Lithuanian? Russian? It did not matter, all languages of the world sounded the same. Especially in the moments of death, he remembered the screams of the soldiers being wounded, the French sounded just the same as the Germans, the Russians just as well. Death did not pick, Death did not understand any languages.Ā He examined her clothes, it was cold so she had a coat but there was something specific about her look. She wasn`t a villager, he could that, they were either dead or they ran away, there was no other way, no sane person would stay there unless⦠while she was not wearing the parading hat on her head that was so typical for nurses, she probably was one. Could that be? Suddenly, that theory made sense.Ā He did not know what to say. He could only guess she was asking him whether he was hurt or perhaps whether the soldier was dead.Ā āHe is deadā he said in Russian, at least he tried, мŃŃŃŠ²Ńй Ā was the word everyone understood. Especially here where the Russian had the control over the country. He tried to add that he was ok and hid the watches as fast as he could.Ā
The look on his face told her that he didnāt understand her, that she had to figure out for herself what language it was she spoke. In a war, she had to learn the basics of many languages, ranging from French to Japanese, in order to help the people brought to her. It was easier for them if she spoke their language, as it was hard enough to communicate while in pain, never mind trying to remember the English they may or may not know.
She moved closer, repeating herself in Russian, and then again in Polish, followed by German.Ā āAre you hurt? I can help you.ā In all three languages, her accent was shaky, but the words were understandable enough that, if he spoke any of them, heād be able to communicate back. All sheād been taught was thrown out the window as she knelt beside him to get a better look at both him and the soldier on the ground. HisĀ status was easy: deceased. The other? Not as simple.
She nodded her head a few times and leaned forward over the corpse, finding that she didnāt need tests to confirm his death. Heād been dead for at least 24 hours. There was nothing she could do for him. She noted that the otherās Russian wasnāt perfect, ruling that out on her list of languages. Again, English, then Polish, ending with German, she asked him,Ā āDo you need medical attention?ā She stood from the ground and held out her hand, her way of telling him she could help. With her free hand she fished out her credentials, handing them over so he could see for himself.Ā
