Playing with arrangments again this morning. Small things I've made, nudged this way and that.

If they do Kenobi season 2, my pipe dream is it focused on Obi-wan and Qui-gon. Give me 50 20 slice of life episodes of those two. Maybe some days they watch over Luke, the other days it's Obi-wan's training. Or maybe a small adventure where they help some slaves.

Above all else though, I just want Obi to have some happiness for the last years of his life, with his master at his side again.

Please imagine Evil Grandpa Dooku who keeps trying to get Obi-Wan to join him but ultimately fails each time getting so frustrated that his backup plan is naming Obi-Wan his heir as Count of Serenno. There are many reasons for his mad scheme of varying plausibility, including:

A. He knows Obi-Wan will actually do what's best for the planet instead of leaving it to the idiot government in charge to deal with

B. He is making a dramatic Statement about not being able to escape the lineage you come from even in death

C. He is aware of the non-zero chance of being betrayed by Sidious, so he makes it that upon Dooku's death the New Count of Serenno and leader of the CIS is given all of his Very Important Documents Describing the Sith Lord Immediately

And most importantly:

D. No matter how distant or cruel he may be, Dooku is after all part of the disaster lineage and is not above fucking with his grand-padawan from beyond the grave solely because the idea amuses him.

Anyway long story short Obi-Wan has a Very Interesting Time after Anakin kills Dooku aboard the Invisible Hand, starting with being declared the new leader of the CIS. It snowballs from there.

I'm very happy with it, but man, I really need to work on my storyboarding and posing xdd

Shen Yuan transmigrates into one of Bingge's wives and after an adjustment period it like, ok this isn't too bad actually.

He's not super thrilled with the new body but it's not that bad really. And as long as he plays it cool and lets Binghe occasionally have his way with him he's 100% safe from all the bad things in PIDW by virtue of being the protagonist's woman! And when Bingge isn't around he can cultivate (cool!) and read his way through the extensive library (so cool!) and anything else his little shut in heart desires!

And ok yeah there's the, sigh, doing the wifely duties bit but he's wife like, 63 so it isn't happening often and besides, his lady body is clearly into Binghe, and he's a straight guy yeah but Binghe is Binghe everyone wants him! So he's willing enough.

So the Event finally happens and SY gets his world absolutely rocked by Bingge... And then when Bingge's about to get up and leave (he Does Not spend the night ever) his wife pulls him close. He thinks that she just wants to go again- which is weird enough, he always completely satisfies his wives- but she just cuddles up to him and plays with his hair and tells him what a good husband and man he is and then starts humming. And Bingge stays, it's...nice and he is tired, his wife is right he works so hard he does deserve to relax...

He wakes up in his wife's arms the next morning utterly bewildered. And then SY helps him bath and does his hair and tries to get him breakfast but he insists he's busy just to get away from her to get his head straight. SY doesn't press of course he just tells Bingge to eat something before he gets into any fights.

Bingge is sure this wife must want something... But a quick background check reminds him this wife is one of the ones he saved from a magic crystal, she has no family, they all died centuries ago... So his wife is not seeking any political gain...

He eventually just goes and asks her, and SY is like oh no I'm peachy! Husband could come with me to the library though if he's not busy? SY is looking for books on monsters!

Bingge is very quickly wife-beamed, which is convenient for him because he's already married to this wife. And SY has no idea it's happened. Well, the other wives are getting cattier the more often Bingge spends the night, but why would he want to be around them when their attitudes are so bad?? (There's been more than one assassination attempt that SY missed completely. Didn't even notice he was in danger.)

But there's a problem. This is not a clean transmigration. The longer SY is in Wife 63's body the more he realizes she's still here too, suppressed by him in her own mind! He isn't sure what to do about it, he can't talk to her directly and what he does get from her as she slowly wakes up and gets stronger is... Hostile to say the least.

SY tries to play it cool, he's fine everything is fine. But Bingge notices the changes, especially as the original wife gets strong enough to start taking partial control of the body back.

Eventually he does a medical check and Oh no! His favorite wife he was considering making his empress is possessed! She's being so so brave and trying to downplay her symptoms but he knows she's suffering.

Bingge arranges for an exorcism and SY goes along willingly. After all he is the bad guy here technically, and the invading spirit. Surely Binghe will be happier with his wife not controlled by a straight man! (I mean yeah the sex is fantastic but he can probably tell it's a little gay somehow!)

Still he's going to miss Binghe- assuming this exorcism doesn't just kill him- so before the ritual starts he makes sure to tell Binghe he loves him (totally platonically) and only wants him to be happy.

It takes Binghe five minutes post exorcism to figure out that he got it backwards. He wasn't saving his beloved wife from a ghost! He's cast out his beloved ghost in favor of some lady who's pissed he didn't realize she was possessed immediately!

He needs to get his perfect ghost wife husband ("the spirit I expelled was actually male " the exorcist says.) back! And find a body to put him in since Wife 63 is refusing to surrender her body again for some reason!

I've been toying with this worldbuilding setup for a little bit, but i've kind been unwilling to commit to starting another longer writing project, so then i noodled on some shorter ideas, and this just popped into my brain, basically fully formed!

I wrote it the next day, and honestly it was such a lovely writing day; things flowed pretty well, and i adored the tension in the scene between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon <3 I was low-key post-writing-depressed for days afterwards, wishing i was still writing it XD

No idea if I'll do more with this particular setup, I kinda feel like i wrote it out of my system, but you never know either - maybe another time!

And you're prbly right about the women thing, but when it comes to creating things, I've always gone where my muses lead me, instead of popularity metrics. (though my monkey brain does like to see number counters go up, NGL!) If I was that concerned with hits I would have taken up a more popular fandom/pairing...

'Cus I've been thinking about them, and I've been thinking Miranda Otto would be perfect for Girl-Wan, but I've not had any good ideas about Girl-Gon..

Oh what is this? I'm alive!

I've been slowly ticking away at this thing since like start of this year. The writing juice has been kinda slow for me since spring hit, and my muses went in the direction of sewing.

Like - hard.

Anyway, haven't completely abandoned writing, as I've been writing mostly on this fic, and a little on other projects, inbetween the fiber shenanigans!

It started out as a super whumpy idea, with all the delicious hurt and aftercare type thing i imagined, and while it certainly is also whumpy - it's probably more like kinky smut overall ^.^

I actually really liked the dynamic between the boys in this (which i feel like i always say, even when their relationship is usually different across all my works. Anyway)

Since starting writing, I've played quite a bit with Obi-Wan's gender and sex; yet I've neither myself nor seen others pay the consideration for Qui-Gon..

Which is interesting, and so, I decided to try my hand at this.

I really rather liked this little ficlet that came from my musings, and might play around with this more - this time I set out for something short and fluffy, and I might in the future tag on something smutty ;)

Welcome in to the new year of 2025! For a third instalment of the COZY series.

Not gonna lie, finishing this chapter off - like those last 7% or something; tying the smut into the convo and then ending the episode was... I dunno, for some reason I really had dragged my feet on that.

And I'm still not super duper hiped about the whole of it, but I decided to just, you know, push through. Post and live with it kinda deal, as I didn't really know what I actually wanted to change. so.

That said, I DO really enjoy the building emotional intimacy between the boys - and the smut, of course! - exploring their dynamic in this chill way, is really rewarding I find.

I've also started branching out more into other works, exploring A LOT of different Q/O dynamics and settings; from the silly to the whump'y.

We'll see when any of those sees the light of fandom :)

I'm pleased to reveal my entry to the 2024 QuiObi Secret Santa! For FrisianFen's prompt:

I'd love for our guys to have a nice retreat somewhere for themselves to enjoy each others company. Snowy Mountains or sandy beaches, forest hike, whatever suits you. It can have drama, trauma to cope, discussions, they've been through enough to work something up. I'd like a Happy End in some sort, emotionally and physically would be optimal.

Shoutout to the awesome @quiobisecretsanta for running this challenge!

BEHIND THE SCENES

This fic was my first foray into challenges, and honestly, as a still pretty new writer, even with the very loose rules and timeline of the exchange, I actually found the process both nerve-wrecking and exciting. I'm a creative who only very rarely put any type of deadline on my projects, so this was a rare exercise; and having popped the cherry, I'm probably gonna go for it again ;p

I decided to keep Qui and Obi far closer to their canon selves, than my other writings so far, which I think was a solid choice, and I'm still quite happy about this, I I'm actually very proud of both the vibes and dynamic between the two of them

Now.

Initially, the argument was juuuust gonna be a little tiffy, and then there was gonna be porn. This - did not really happen. Somehow, it got expanded, slowed down into something more simmering and with far more deep-felt emotions; I found myself thinking of years long disagreements between loved ones, and how a situation such as theirs might fester over time... I think a spend over a day writing just the main argument, and by the end of it - my stomach was so very tightly knotted together that I had to take a walk and I kinda wanted to cry...

Writing is really such an emotional process.

It also really pushed me to think about character motivations and characterisations in general; I think I really pushed my writing abilities with this one argument. Like, halfway through, I had to go back and expand on the underlying reasons for the fight, as it was initially too onesided, and either Obi-Wan kinda seemed like bully or Qui-Gon was too much of an idiot. And I wanted something more 'realistic' and most of all equal between the two of them. I wanted both to have stakes, and to be changed by the end of the fic, along with the changes int their relationship.

I literally did a little spreadsheet of their current individual issues, their deepest fears and what they need to learn to grow as characters!

(The smut was also great!!)
