Alright, guys. I wrote it. The nightmare begins. It’s an AU of Descent where Data’s ethical systems don’t get rebooted in time and Geordi takes the fall because of it. Hurt, little comfort. Here it is.

The knowledge that if Picard and Troi had been rebooted Data’s ethical program only seconds later, Data would have brutally killed Geordi has got to be one of the scariest moments in all of TNG. A compelling, if dark and angsty, AU to explore. The slow progression of Data’s ethical subroutine rebooting as Data starts to realize something is horribly wrong was chilling.

What is your preferred name?

I don't like to go by my real name on the internet, so just call me Lore or something. (I don't even know at this point, haha.)

What are your pronouns?

Why is your URL "hidden--lore"?

This blog is basically a Star Trek TNG shitpost/art blog related to Lore and Data, so yeah, that's why. Also, hidden lore basically means mystery, which I think is pretty cool.

What is your favorite color?

Black, beacuse I'm edgy like that. Black and yellow, definitely, but only in combination.

What is your favorite aesthetic?

I vibe with sci-fi and steampunk aesthetics.

What is your favorite word?

"Chimerical," meaning wildly ficticious or imaginative.

What is your favorite season of the year?

Autumn! I love to see the rainbows of leaves falling down.

"Drunk" by TheLivingTombstone... a song so depressing has no right being so damn catchy!

Hmm, that would have to be Cabinet Man by Lemon Demon.

Star Trek: The Next Generation is definitely my favorite show. Doctor Who is my second.

Who is your favorite character?

Lore (Star Trek). Lore with a sprinkle of Data (Star Trek) and The Master (Doctor Who).

What is your preferred genre to read?

Horror with a sci-fi theme. I like reading really messed up stuff. I have an entire collection of homebrew darkfics on my ao3. That should tell you something. (Don't worry, they're not sexual.)

What do you do in your free time?

I'm usually either drawing, sleeping, developing video games, or coding Minecraft mods/plugins. Occasionally I'll post a chiptune song to Soundcloud.

What is your greatest achievement?

During my freshman year of high school, the leader of my robotics team let me take home the trophy for autonomous movement and programming, because he thought I earned it. I have never been the same since, in a good sort of way, :)

What is your favorite sport?

Does FRC robotics count? I mean, it is a great way to excercise your brain cells. Seriously, does that count..

What is your spirit animal?

I identify strongly with Bearded Vultures. They're awesome little dudes.

What is your favorite school subject?

Computer Science is where it's at!

Minecraft is an amazing game and a technological masterpiece. Fight me.

I laugh at almost anything, especially things I shouldn't. I have a chronic case of "laughing at something offensive just because the joke itself is so bad it's good". It's become a problem.

Who are your favorite bands/artists?

I love Twenty-One Pilots, MISSIO, Avivia, grandson, Unlike Pluto and Three Days Grace.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would like to keep motivation for longer and not give up on my goals a few weeks after making them.

His friends wish he'd open up... and Geordi just misses seeing their shimmering golden sheen in the starlight." [I totally picture Data having steampunk-esque wings here.] 80s HORROR MOVIE AU: "When the news comes on with its foreboding forecast of death, stating that a serial killer has broken out of prison, Geordi immediately calls his boyfriend, and the killer's brother, Data. (After all, not all family reunions are happy.)" FANTASY AU: "Don't walk alone--don't split up, they said, for a beast lurks in the forest: a golem of gold which will tear you limb from limb with the strength of a thousand men.
