# Little Footprint Lighting Heron LED task lamp. # Made from recycled ewaste. 5-10X more efficient than incadescent lighting, with a bulb that will last up to 15 years. Designed and manufactured in California.

#Boxee Box and Remote.# Designed by Astro Studios. Lead designer was my good colleague Mich Alvarez. I supported Mich on the engineering side. Phillipe Lavanchy of Cerny PD did the CAD work on the remote. Detail engineering on the Box was handled by D-Link's engineers in China. Phillips did the engineering on the remote. At the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show, the Boxee Box received the following accolades: - LAPTOP's Best of CES 2010 - Best Home Entertainment Device - Last Gadget Standing - International CES Best Of Innovations 2010 for Home Theater Accessories - Popular Science's Best of CES 2010, Products of the Future

# CardioVention CorX Control Interface.# Control center for a new heart-lung machine. Won a Chicago Athaeneum Good Design Award in 2003 for medical devices. I handled industrial design and mechanical engineering.

Aqcess Technologies "Qbe" tablet computer. Winner of 1999 "Best of Comdex" for mobile devices.

#VistaLab Ovation Digital Pipette.# This device is used for laboratory medical work. Designed by frogdesign NY. Lead designer Gary Natsume. I handled the CAD work and engineering packaging. Gary worked closely with an ergonomist, and together they conducted field studies for how lab workers use these devices in the highly repetitive process of dispensing fluids. What Gary came up with was a radical departure from the standard vertical form factor for pipettes. Net result was a dramatic reduction in repetitive stress injuries associated with medical lab work. The Ovation won an ISDA Gold Award for medical devices in 2000. It has been in production for over a decade.
