Your tumblr is so inspirational.. I love especially your quotes on God and strength. A few weeks ago my boyfriend broke up with me.. I'm 18 and in all these years a break up never hit me this bad, I've been acting like I'm okay but I'm not.. I literally thought he was the one, we even talked about marriage and the worst thing is that even my best friend , who was like a brother to me, doesn't care about me anymore... I felt so desperate and alone.. But I realised God is more than enough for me..

Hello ! Thank you so much and I will be reblogging this onto that blog as this is the blog I do not use anymore. Your last sentence “I felt so desperate and alone.. But I realised God is more than enough for me.” made me smile so much .. You are obviously a lot stronger than you may you are. Realising that God is there for you through the hard times is something not many people/ Christians realise. Let me tell you something now God is making you into a better and stronger woman through every difficult stage in your life, be it with a guy you cared about or with friends. He is preparing you for that one man who will cherish every bit of you . DO NOT FORGET THAT. Your ex bf was not the one and I understand that you must be in a lot of pain right now because even I have not ever reached the stage where I seriously talk to a bf about marriage and for all of that to all of a sudden come to an end must have really hurt you. I urge you to remain strong, pray, look after yourself and just think about how many blessings you have in your life. One set back isn't the end but is actually opening your heart / mind for something better. The friend that does not care about you any more was it just sudden or he just doesn't bother to holla .. when he realises how much of a great friendship he has lost I am sure he will regret every bit of it. Be patient , he probably needs time and quite clearly so do you... I am even in the same situation rn :/ do not hesitate to talk to me off anon honestly I would gladly be a friend you can talk to

Hi, I was wondering if you can shed some light on my situation. I'm guyanese and dating a Nigerian guy (Yoruba and we've been together for 4 yrs now. I'm pretty sure I'm deeply in love with him & he feels the same. And lately I've been thinking a lot about our future I've never met his parents and they don't know about our relationship. But his mother is pretty strict about their culture & wants him to marry Yoruba. I really cannot picture life without him anymore. What do I do ?!

Anyone got any idea ?

Not really a question but do you have any materials (articles etc) on trans-tribal children? My mom is Igbo and my dad Yoruba--and due to my strained relationship with him I am not close to my Yoruba side but relate more to my Igbo side. This is not easy to explain to others as my name is Mayowa and I have never felt comfortable relating as a Yoruba or Igbo person. Thoughts?
