LITTLE REVIEW

I’ve been procrastinating for a while now and I hate it.... I was up as early as 7:30 but up until now I haven’t even found the momentum to start writing and reviewing some geometry.... I really wanna do this for myself so that I won’t have a hard time when it comes to the board exam. I’m actually an incoming 3rd year student and the board exam is almost 2 years from now... The thing is, I know that some people will refer to me as bollocks for starting as early as now. However, in reality I know in myself that we are not ready to face it because we lack the preparations in terms of studying. Yes, I mean it.

When the pandemic started, our education system came crashing down. The quality of education has been the bare minimum. Cheating is ubiquitous despite the efforts of the school to minimize this. I’m so sad that I cannot fully take credit for all the high marks I get because deep inside me, I know that I look at my notes or whatsoever... I really want to feel that I can totally do it. And I know that it is my choice to do the right thing, that is why now I’m trying my best to make amends for the lack of focus that I did during my 2nd year second semester .

OVERFISHING INFOGRAPHICS

Fish is one of the main star that is served on our plate, whether it is lunch or dinner. But what if I tell you that your favorite fish may soon be gone, and there’s a big possibility that you will consume your last fish in the near future? We , the group 3, will present to you an infographic about an issue about what happened, what is happening, and what will happen. It is the environmental issue of overfishing.

Our environment provides us a wide range benefit. Humans need to interact with the environment to obtain food we consume, for instance, marine life, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and as well as the source materials that we need in order to suffice and ensure our survival.

Environmental awareness is extremely important because it is us who hold the responsibility of keeping the Earth protected and sustainable, but due to lack of awareness we also became the due cause of environmental damage like overfishing.

With the drastic increase of population and the ever advancing technology, resources are failing to keep up with demands, the lack of awareness, and the option to be ignorant to facts leads to environmental degradation. People are fishing more than the environment can handle it, and soon no fish will be left.

To protect the environment, we need a more sustainable way of living. Fishing should be regulated, resources can be bred for more and production can be decreased to keep sustainability.

People's quality of life will increase the more the environment is protected, we live in it and if it's prosperous then so are we. Quality of life and the well-being of the environment can be balanced, overconsumption and over abuse of sources may improve the quality of life but it is only temporary, for an everlasting life quality, sustainability is essential.

It’s my 20th year here on earth!!! It has been a 2 decades of roller coaster … and counting!! There were so many experiences that made me who I am today, and I thank God for these things. God had made me to become a stronger and better person each day I seek Him. I may have shortcomings and lapses; He continues to provide despite all these. I’m not going to be emotional with this letter, but I just want to put this into writing so that I can always look back on this day and someday tell this tale to our kids (Jet and I’s).

I started my day as early as 5 in the morning. Not that I get ecstatic about my birthday, but I just want to begin my day according to my schedule. Since I already planned how my day will go, I felt relieved. I started jogging in our pavement while listening to worship songs. I did this because I want an alone time with God. To pray, to be grateful, to cast all my worries, to be refreshed about my purpose, and to ask for guidance for the upcoming years ahead. As I was walking and jogging, I felt grateful for everything that I have right now. I realized how God is truly great and how He continues to provide for me and my family every day. After 30 minutes, I went to ate Nikki to wake her up because she asked me to. When I got there, I saw that she’s already fixing herself. We laughed at each other for that matter. Our kwentos didn’t stop as soon as we jogged together. I was jubilant because who would’ve thought that we can still reconcile after the incident that happened on 2016.

After running, I went inside to prepare my materials and listen to God’s word. I was listening to a preaching from Pastor Todd about joy. I learned a lot of things from this and realized how I already encountered joy even at a young age. I was joyous to know that God never left me in times when I was troubled. And even if I’m encountering problems, be it big or small, I wasn’t afraid because I know that God is always with me.

Little by little, Jet’s gifts were arriving HHAHHAHAHH it was too much!! The flowers were wonderful. I was awestruck, it was my first time to receive tulips – blooming tulips. I do know that it is very expensive although Jet doesn’t seem to care about the numbers. Also, I took picture of the inside of the pink box. For sure he paid a good price for all of those. It was super cute because everything has a significance in it. For his last gift, it was a pretty pink carrot cake. I was surprised because the cake came when I was taking my 2nd bath for the day. While I was changing my clothes, I heard mama’s frantic voice talking to Dariane. She was saying that she didn’t mean to ruin the cake by touching the frosting. I was so afraid that it happened, that’s why I was practically shouting ‘what happened’ while putting on my shirt as fast as I could. To my surprise, nothing really happened to the cake. They were just teasing me. As soon as I saw the cake, my mouth agape. WOAH. The is one hell of a cake. Even if I’m in a rural area, the cake was beyond my expectation. It was covered in thick cream cheese with pink fondant flowers, a party balloon, and a cute little plane on the center. DAMN jet, you did it again. I was really experiencing a pure bliss with all that I have received. But my mood changed as soon as I saw Max’s friend making fun of jet and me in the post by Mr. Delivery. That guy seemed to be mocking us. But you know, I was so amazed with how Jet dealt with it. He ignored it. And if it’s nothing for Jet, then I should not waste my time on that freaking comment myself.

After preparing my tacos, I went to ate Nikki for my makeup. It wasn’t actually a must and I was already lazy to take pictures. But I remembered that Jet wanted for me to take real good pictures for memories. That even though he wasn’t with me, that’s his only wish. HAHAHHHAHA. So, it took time for us to put makeup and all, and I was glad about the outcome. Ate nikki improved so much HAHHAHAH. She took pictures of me so that she can post it since she’s proud of her creation as well. I saw a DP worthy photo, so I asked her to airdrop some. For the photoshoot, I was glad how Dariane helped me even if I know that she doesn’t like to do it often. But I saw in her eyes that she was truly enjoying it. We went the other day to places where we could shoot. BUT WTH the post worthy photo is found in front of the untrimmed bush of mommy Emma HAHHAHHA.

Before dinner, we went to pastor’s house to give salad and spaghetti. Max was the one who got it, he also said happy birthday. Then we were all ecstatic to go home to eat because everything on the table were our favorite. There was pizza, tacos, chicken (garlic parm and gochujang), carrot cake, chocolate cake and spaghetti. We ate and laughed our way to kabusugan. Thanks, Diam for cooking!!!

Jet, thank you for everything. This was the best birthday I had in years. Loving you in an instant was a decision I won’t ever regret. Even if you’re a hundred miles away from me, you never fail to make me feel your presence here with me in Isabela. It has been 6 months of loving and praying to be yours forever and always. And we keep praying to continue to give glory to God’s kingdom through our relationship. Jet, you are the realest of the real, you are my one and only, my dearly beloved, my friend, my best friend, my soul sister, my lover, my future husband, and the future father of my kids. Thank you for making me feel the love I never thought I deserved. I asked God for a man who is after His heart, and you came. I love you jet! Cheers to thousand years with you! To God be all the glory and honor!

Wika ng Silanganan

Wika ng karunungan, wika ng ating bayan

Ang siyang nagbigay lakas sa ‘ting kasalukuyan

Ito ay sandigan na ating tinutungtungan,

Kalakip sa kalayaan na ating nakamtan.

Kasaysayan ng bansa, muli nating balikan,

Dapat makikita natin ang kahalagahan

Ng ating wika sa pagtanggol sa ating bayan

Upang makamit, inaasam na kasarinlan.

Wikang Filipino ang wika sa ating bansa.

Pinag-iisa pa rin tayo ng ating wika,

Iba’t iba man ang ating kultura sa loob ng bansa,

Wikang tinuturing na wika ng karunungan.

Sa pagkakaroon natin ng sariling wika

Ay nabigyan ang bansa ng pagkakakilanlan,

I was quite having a bad day because of period cramps and dariane. First, I was really mad at dariane because she ate my turon without permission. I was really craving it so bad that’s why I fumed when I saw that the turon was gone. So, while looking out for mamang, Jet called me because he was concerned about my freakin period cramps. Then suddenly, Diam chatted me saying that someone delivered those outside out house, “From Jethro Jerez po, para daw po sa may sakit.”

Just wanna appreciate my langga so much for being so thoughtful and patient with me. Even if were 1400 km away, he can still make a way to make me feel his presence is near. Jet,i loveeee youuu so so so so much. Words can’t describe how truly grateful I am for God because he gave me a life partner like you. I hope you’re doing great there in Iloilo <3

The Not So Amazing Day

Have you ever felt invisible for a day? I did. From the time I wake up til the time I go to sleep no one seems to be bothred by my presence. It's not a good thing for me because I'm not used to it. I want attention. Attention that parents couldn't give to their rebellious child. Attention that makes people famous. Attention that feels like you're superior. Attention that makes people happy. I want that kind of attention. But this day I haven't even felt like a human. I am the wind that keeps wandering the world. Nobody can see . Nobody can touch . Has the greatest energy but nobody knows it.

2014

My year have been full of ups and downs. Full of happiness and sadness. Full of surprises and empty promises. My year started bad. I didn't see it that way before. I cried, I slept, I felt alone. Food was served. I just ate silently. I marked my year as 'My worst year' because it's not how I celebrate New Year like the other years. Before we used to be complete. We used to be jolly. We used to be kids having no worries at all. I wished I could relish those years. But it's no use. I cannot go back to those days. I keep comparing it
