So... Lady Aranessa was there when Vaelus arrived at the funeral. She heard Vaelus say what she was looking for, what was stolen. She directly addressed Vaelus.
Why is Aranessa asking Occtis about what was stolen, what the elf wants, all that? She was there.

Fen was my first full Dark Urge playthrough and he holds a special place in my heart. In my mind he's the youngest of my three durges. But he's also the one who is the Chosen of Bhaal.
So here he is in his endgame glory
He's a half high elf storm sorcerer (and by the end of the game he has a level in bard because I have the level uncap mod). He's an absolute menace of a spellcaster, partly because of his stats. I got really lucky with Auntie Ethel's hair and the mirror in the House of Grief.
but mainly because of his insane spell save DC (22) and his ridiculous spell attack modifier (+19).
He romanced Astarion and Halsin.
And in the past he basically had a religious crisis over how much he liked Gortash. Act 3 of BG3 was not kind to him. He really, really struggled.

This is Ghoul. I'm currently working on his playthrough - we're late in Act 1. He's a Circle of the Land druid. Despite his appearances...he's half drow. He's romancing Gale.
And this is Hush. I haven't really started her play (she's still in the nautiloid). She's a githyanki ranger, who will be a swarmkeeper. I FORGOT HER SCARS AND AM FAR TOO LAZY TO GO BACK INTO THE GAME TO INCLUDE THEM. AUGH. She will likely romance Shadowheart or Karlach.

-my theory is that all Bhaalspawn have a bit of an uncanny valley vibe to them and I've tried to incorporate that into their designs.
-as I said, Fen's the youngest of the three. I view Ghoul as the oldest and then Hush is the middle child.
-Ghoul is 5'8"
-Hush is 5'7"
-Fen is 5'4"
-Hush is 'less pure' of a Bhaalspawn because she was an experiment with a Githyanki egg and a chunk of Bhaal's flesh that fell into the hands of some weird society. how did that work? doesn't matter. Hush is the result. She's quiet and keeps to herself, mostly. Gets on surprisingly well with Orin.
-Ghoul was the last to make his way to the Temple of Bhaal. He's a gloomy, awkward bean of a druid. It took him so long because the idea of going to Baldur's Gate felt like no. Too many people. He probably slept in the woods outside of Baldur's Gate for several months before working up the courage to enter the city and find the Temple.
-Fen is the one who assumes the role of Chosen. He does so from a fairly young age. Despite his fairly upbeat personality...he excels in his role. Before the plan, before all of that, he had a good relationship with all his siblings. Including Orin. The two of them used to braid each others hair.
-It wasn't until the Chosen of Bane got involved that things started getting messy.
-Fen was far too interested in Gortash. Gortash distracted him from his duties. He had a friend outside the temple. He had someone who treated him as an equal instead of someone divine and untouchable.
-Ghoul also wound up crushing on Gortash, but much more quietly and in a way that never amounted to anything.
-Everything was fine until Orin realized how far Fen had 'fallen.' That he'd fallen in love. So she took matters into her own hands and that's how Fen starts the game.
-Ghoul tries to intervene and winds up in a similar state.
-Hush saw what happened. Unfortunately, she wound up in a similar state as well.
I've been slowly working on some novel stuff by hand for the past few months. I'm still afraid to announce anything about it because I'm terrified that I'll get slapped with severe burnout again...
The meme with your BG3 character as different races, plus how he usually looks because I never posted about Fen. Used the character creator because I can't really draw. The colors I associate with him the most are pale purple/pink, green, and black...so I tried to incorporate those into each of the versions in some way. Will also always have complete heterochromia. -Kind of cheerful and easygoing, but only because he doesn't remember The Horrors. The times that he does remember things he's haunted. Charismatic and he knows it, even a bit manipulative (at times). Feels connection with Gortash. Will protect his found family to the ends of the world.
-Zariel tiefling
-hexblade/swashbuckler multiclass
-sneakier than normal Fen, but still definitely a charismatic brat. Charming and lighthearted, though that's more of a façade with him. Definitely feels a bit more hollow inside, perhaps has trouble making connections. The type to feel alone in a crowd.
-gith
-way of four elements monk
-the most (visibly) put together of the Fens. what are social skills? He certainly doesn't need social skills, those are for chumps. Probably a bit more on the jaded side because of being one of the only gith at Baldur's Gate. Slow to form friendships but thrilled to finally have friends.
-deep gnome
-tempest cleric of Bhaal
-has hair despite being a male deep gnome. Bhaal says shrug. The most devout of the Fens. Probably killed Orin and Gortash. Absolutely the most devoted to Bhaal. Obsessed with being the Perfect Son(tm).
-human
-beast master ranger
-absolutely the most antisocial of the Fens. probably ignored greasy raccoon man Gortash. Goes along with the group, but definitely doesn't make connections. As such, he struggles quite a bit since he doesn't have the support to help with the Urge.
-'drow'
-eldritch knight fighter
-Don't fuck with him. Still a chaotic bastard, but less charming about it. Fuck the gods. Will kill you in exchange for a single corn chip. If you can get through to him he could be a very, very loyal friend.
-shield dwarf
-circle of stars druid
-absolutely loves animals, tolerates people. probably sleeps as a wolf. has the most control over the Urge. absolutely willing to flip Bhaal off and go live with a pack of wolves. With the group...he's most likely seen with Scratch and the owlbear cub.
-half-orc
-vengeance paladin
-will likely somehow become oathbreaker because durge runs struggle with oathbreaking. absolutely the most levelheaded of the Fen variants. Will try to charm his way out of problems first...will resort to the hammer if people are being difficult.
-dragonborn (no matter what color his scales are he is a 'white' dragonborn. he has ice breath)
-bladesinger wizard
-Cold and rational. Calculating. Despite that, still has a habit of biting people. Probably still fell for Gortash. Keeps to himself when he's with the group. He can put on a good front...but at heart he's socially awkward.
Started playing No Man's Sky again... and I found this Large Lad. But I'm unsure how it fits into the existing NMS taxonomy. It probably should be in the Bos category...but if it is it doesn't fit perfectly. But it doesn't fit any of the other categories.
The only reason I'm curious is because its so damn big.

Okay, if we're fair I found this planet yesterday...but I absolutely adore bubble planets. So I renamed this one to Shoujo...because it has bubbles and is pink.
Started playing No Man's Sky again... and I found this Large Lad. But I'm unsure how it fits into the existing NMS taxonomy. It probably should be in the Bos category...but if it is it doesn't fit perfectly. But it doesn't fit any of the other categories.
The only reason I'm curious is because its so damn big.
