Why does everything have to be a competition? Like everything we do it’s a competition. Why can’t we ever be happy for someone even if they do the tiniest thing? Why do you always make fun of people the way they do things and the clothes they wear and the makeup they wear? But then do the same thing?! Why do people expect others to do something for them if they don’t even do it for them?? Just because they’re not you doesn’t mean you have to make fun of them or judge them or make sure your one uping them!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry newsflash no one really cares because in 50 years it won’t matter!

I used to be a dancer and now when i get nervous my feet slip into third position. Defence mechanism says my steadiness will deter spoken knives and vocal artillery. I used to be a dancer and now when I find my hands shaking they curl around hems of jumpers or tuck into sleeves. Defence mechanism says if they can’t see my fear it doesn’t exist. I used to be a dancer and now when my thoughts are roaring I count everything round in patterns of eight. Defence mechanism says order and routine can stop my palms from sweating.
