obvs there is something great about when a Big Scary turns into a Big Softie where Tiny Useless is concerned, but what i like better is:

Tiny Useless decides, with no prompting and for no apparent reason whatsoever, that Big Scary needs protecting. and if no one else will do it then this accidentally-gets-stepped-on, blows-away-in-a-stiff-breeze motherfucker is going to have to be the one to protect this living mountain of pain. you wanna get to this troll, you’re gonna have to go through this pixie. you try to come for this tibetan mastiff, this chihuahua’s gonna try to kick your ass first.

and the Big Scary is mostly just?? really confused???? there are at least twenty different reasons why this is fucking dumb. but also this feeble lil shit is the first person in the entire world to try and stand up for this person that absolutely does not need it. Big Scary continues to be huge and terrifying but now Tiny Useless has their undying loyalty and it will probably not end well for anyone.

Does this mean that, with the right set-up, you could make light sources which mimicked moonlight accurately enough that it sets off someone’s lycanthropy? I’m not sure what such a device would be useful for, but it’d be neat nonetheless.

Moonlight is only about 14% reflected sunlight, with a different spectrum (some wavelengths gets more absorbed than others, some more reflected, etc). If the two spectra of moonlight and sunlight were compared side-by-side with no mention of their origin, they basically appear as two completely different light sources, one peaking at the yellow wavelengths and the other peaking at the blue-green wavelengths.

To summarize; moonlight is not sunlight, it is reflected sunlight with a lot of its information lost or altered.

The Moon is slowly drifting away, but it’ll eventually reach a static orbit and stop; it’s not going to fly off into space. What will happen though is kinda weird. When the Moon stops drifting away, the Earth-Moon system will become tidally locked. After that point, only one side of the Earth will ever face the Moon again. So it won’t be that lycanthropy will disappear forever; it’ll just only happen on half of the Earth :] :] :]

That raises another question though; will having the full moon always out, even during the day, mean that lycanthropes will always be shifted, or will the direct light of the sun overpower its effects during the day :?

Rape is pretty much murder, except the victim actually has to be alive for the aftermath.

Always, no matter what, rapists are violent, dangerous people with violent, dangerous thoughts.

Rape is not a mistake. It is a choice and one that deserves NO compassion.

It doesn’t matter how true this is, but there are other types of rapists out there. The kind who claim rape because they don’t get their way. Or because they decided they didn’t want it in the morning. Or they lost an argument.

And this ruins people’s lives needlessly. Innocent people. Good people. All because they didn’t bend to the will of someone who was most likely a woman.

And this is unfair too. But men’s lives are still being ruined and those men are being figuratively raped. The only difference is that the person or people who did it to them are never convicted and never have to face what they did.

False rape accusations, which make up 1-2 out of every 1000 rapes, don’t do shit. Because only 7 in 1000 rapes ever result in a felony conviction, how many of those do you think are false?
