This is gonna be F-U-N-N fun, girl! MARGARET QUALLEY as JAMIE in DRIVE-AWAY DOLLS (2024) dir. Ethan Coen
ancient roman women whose husband keeps looking at the neighbour's boy quintus and he never looks at her that way and she can't even chainsmoke in the kitchen because they don't have marlboro blues in ancient times. and she can't even go to the club because they haven't discovered drum and bass music yet. her friend clodia's having visions of a woman named doechii but neither of them knows what that means
kayda’s new hampshire accent is so strong im dying 😭😭😭😭 she sounds like she came straight from the lakes region
In sickness and in health, you are my best friend, and I love you.

Pottery sounds terrifying to me. Every post I see is like "Here's this awesome art I made!! Pray for me that it survives The Kiln™ :')" I don't think I could cope with making art that could quite easily blow up and I have no way of controlling that. You guys are true heroes.
@bazanite you are so correct
resurrected dead wife watching her own montage: wow I looked so hot in that
there’s a used bookstore in rural western massachusetts (the montague book mill) whose motto is “books you don’t need in a place you can’t find” and i just feel like that summarizes tumblr too
posts you don’t need on a site you can’t search
i haven’t seen anyone talk about it yet but as always, i love bridgerton’s use of colours in costumes to tell a story. the bridgerton family colour is blue and as couples form, you can see their love interests wearing more blue. and we see it for franchaela this season.
at first they are fighting and their dresses represent that: a more calm blue for francesca while michaela is wearing a fierce red. (a red and blue ship!! lesbians stay winning as always)
but the next morning, they are friends, their relationship has evolved and now, michaela is wearing blue! still bolder than francesca's as a reminder of their differences. slowly but surely, michaela is becoming a bridgerton.
and the teaser is a continuation of that!
we get red (michaela's color) + blue (bridgerton’s color) which gives us the purple of michaela's dress and the lilac flowers on francesca's dress -> they are slowly becoming their own unit
Also Michaela has her chest in full display, she is, you could say, unbuttoned, open. Meanwhile Francesca is completely buttoned up, hidden, careful.
isn't it crazy that a woman being gender nonconforming literally just requires her to exist in her own body without making any changes whatsoever. why does the fact that i don't wear makeup and i don't shave and i don't wear a bra have to be some political act. why can't i just fucking exist
The Summertime Is A Little Different From The Normaltime
Did You Know Clovers Theyre Doing This Kind Of Thing Nowadays
everytime i wear an outfit like this i think about this tweet
also i love when tv shows signify that a new scene is immediately post-sex by cutting to a shot of two characters falling face-up into bed next to each other. it always makes me imagine that for them, sex must have taken the form of levitating supine above the mattress shoulder-to-shoulder, staring at the ceiling & not touching or acknowledging each other
you cannot be a cop WITH a baby mama who LIKES country music on love island. pick an issue!
what are your thoughts on love is blind and the ways in which bonding between competitors is gendered? Im thinking of the discussions the women between themselves and how they are simultaniously used to perform girls-girlism and to show interest in specific men
ok so my exact unfiltered thoughts is that if i no longer gave a fuck about a professional career and just wanted to be an influencer, i'd go on love is blind but bring along ALL my gel mani supplies and do girls' nails in the pods, and use that as an in to develop a strong emotional connection with the other woman who i thought was the most recipocral to it, and then string along whatever guy i had on the line to get to the vacation portion, then when they get to "meet each other" from the pods in the first place we take up just like we had before and it doesn't worry the guy THAT much, but obviously i know HER fiance isn't doing it for her, and when we get back into the real world/living together phase of the show i start to drop hints that i'm maybe more attracted to my pod bestie than i am to the man who gave me a ring, and i calculatedly drive a wedge between HER and HER fiance, and at the altar i say "i would love to marry you. but i can't. because i'm in love with someone else, and her name....is jane." and then i do a phoner with vulture where i'm like "yeah i did that on purpose i just wanted to bring some cunty lesbian chaos to this shitshow" and immediately get cast on house of villains and get to meet tiffany pollard and like idk lisa barlow and mistress isabelle brooks or whatever so i no longer have to worry about heteronormativity at all.
shorter and more to the point: it's crazy but the rituals are intricate and you just gotta vibe i guess.
