Seriously, I don't know what took me so long, but I can proudly announce the completion of Kate Sharma (now Kate Bridgerton) and Anthony Bridgerton's custom dolls from Bridgerton season two!

The second season is my favorite so far, (enemies to lovers is one of the best tropes out there, come on) and of course I had a terrible time deciding which outfit I would have their dolls be in, since, you know, all the dresses are GORGEOUS✨ Plus, whatever the choice, they would have had to match obviously 🫪

But. In the end. I had a once in a long time good idea! What about the dresses they had during the Sheffield's dinner? Where we hear one of the most swooning worthy speeches ever in the Bridgerton world?

I actually indulged in another small and silly stop motion session, so In case you wanted to hear the original speech... Stay tuned 🫠🐝

I forgot to take a picture of them close together, but the size difference is hilarious and I love them.

Also, I thought it would be funny for the Speaker to actually be able to sing her song (Speaker with a speaker, get it?) so she also have a secret pocket where I put a small music device that plays her music, but my dumb-driven-by-this-heat ass forgot to take a video of it in function so, you know, it's there, yay!

AKA my love language is making stuff (dolls, specifically), so to all my Lukanette comrades: Luka and Marinette dolls for you! <3

You can tell it was a pretty special project by the amount of outfits they got (I'm not that great at sewing, moreso since I started at the worst scale possible without prior sewing knowledge, but I'm hard heades, so take that!!)

Of course, it's also because I wanted to kind of tell a story with them, specifically: Marinette loves fashion-> Marinette loves Luka-> Marinette makes lots of outfits for her and Luka to match

Oh and, in case you're wondering, yes, Luka wears a kilt because I absolutely adopted the Luka's scottish Headcanon [I will blame without shame @verfound for this, go check her works if you wanna fall into a Lukanette-rabbit-hole-without-escape (I never even tried escaping, btw <3 )]

Obviously, since I basically live and breathe on AO3 (both fanfiction and comics side, we love it all here!!!), there's SO MANY great artists that contributed to inspiring me, entertaining me and overall making me happy (yes, even with all the angst) before and during the project (and keep doing it well after completing it) with their stories and crazy talent; I would love to thank each and every one of you, but I'm shy and awkward as hell, so... This is for you, thank you all for your amazing works! 🩷

Anyway. This was my first attempt at stop motion and surprisingly I'm... Actually pleased? Well I'll be darned, that's two new experiences in a day!

Oh and, in case anyone was wondering, YES. "Something about us" by Daft Punk was written specifically for Lukanette™. Don't ask me for proofs, it's absolutely true c:

Of course, I spend years unsuccessfully trying to find the time to make just one custom doll of The last unicorn, only to make two a few months apart 🦄

Does that mean she's not the last unicorn anymore...? In this household at least 🫠

Aaanyway, I'm so hyped to share my first full Ariel OOAK doll with you all! It's crazy that it's taken me this long (as a wannabe mermaid since I was a kid, you'd think I would be doing The little Mermaid's dolls nonstop, huh), but thanks to an amazing commissioner, I finally got the chance to bring her to life 💖

(for those waiting on the Lukanette dolls, they're complete, they're adorable, I'm just waiting for the right moment to make the cutest photo shoot <3)

Ok so I wasn't satisfied with the previous faces and, since these dolls are super easy to swap faceplate, I thought "ok so maybe I just need to add an alternative expression, that will help"

It did, BUT! I ended up modifying the original faces too, sooo

Now we have the demure-chill-shy version AND the dorky and smitten option! I needed it, they needed it, we're all good to go c:

(On a second thought, no, I don't think I can keep it family-friendly here, especially with Sylus looking at me like that and he's only 1/6... I can't imagine what would happen if I were to make him 1/3 🫣)

Honestly, I'm seriously considering making the rest of the Love and DeepSpace guys into custom dolls at this point. The only question is... who's next, and in which outfit? 😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️

I've lost count of how many custom dolls of Odette I've made in all these years, but in true ooak spirit, each one is completely different from any other 👀

Bit by bit, someday I will finally be satisfied... Not yet, but someday!
