Goals for 2013!!!
It is 2:00 in the morning and I'm not sleepy yet. I have been thinking of things that I want to do this 2013, most of them are achievable I guess. I just want to write them down to make them more concrete?
1. Be more physically active. I don't plan on enrolling to a gym/fitness class. Just regular walks or jogs in the field. Probably 2-3 times a week an hour at least per session.
2. Lose some pounds. I'm in the normal range in terms of the BMI but I still want to shed some pounds so that I would be leaner and healthier. Less flabs better fall of clothes.
3. Eat more healthily. I kind of started that already the previous year but I tend to go back and forth the good and the bad food choices. To be more specific this time, I need to stop/avoid drinking sodas and sweetened fruit juices. (They are the #1 source of high calories and high sugar plus sugars they break me out. Did you know that sodas are directly linked to obesity? So you better limit your sodas too ;) ) I also need to increase my fruits and veggies, avoid foods with high oil and high salt content. Junk foods should be my enemy.
4. $ave $ave $ave. It is never early to save. A few bucks here and there every time will get you far. Well, I actually wanted to save because I want to travel. I have this travel planned out with my friend already and I hope it would push through. *fingers crossed*
5. Avoid procrastination. This has been a problem of mine for so long. Now that I am more mature, I think it is time for me to exert more effort to prevent myself from procrastinating. It takes a lot of energy for me to start on doing something. I almost always need that very strong PUSH to star early/on time else, I'll be cramming myself up all night and in the end not really satisfied with the outcome.
6. Buy myself a camera! First I talk about saving and then this one. >< I still have around 12 months fulfill this one
7. Read and write more. I noticed that I haven't written much the past year and though I did read some books they really weren't you know..deep. This year, I want write more hence starting this and probably an actual blog. For books, I have no target or minimum number of books to read. I just want to have better book choices and read those that have more sense and knowledge in it.
8. Improve social skills. I always suck at this, and I always have wanted to improve on this aspect. There seems to be an improvement the past years but very minimal. I think I need to do this ASAP!!! The world out there could be fun but scary as well if you fail to deal with people appropriately
Well that is all that I can think of now. Hopefully I can live up to these goals. I know they may be modified and some may be added along the way. It's just good to face the new year with a set of things that you want to go and live by for a more meaningful 2013! :)
First ever MMFF film I watched, and wouldn't be if it weren't required by my Prof. Focused mainly on the culture and the typical day to day activities of the Badjaos. Not really satisfied with the ending, it was too abrupt. Nora Aunor was great, and so was Bembol Rocco. Made me thankful for the life I have.
