Exam Idea Development

For the exam I will be creating multiple embroidered Sainsburys bag squares and stitching them onto a pair of trousers, along side this i will be creating a bag and a wallet.

Exam Inspiration: Kirsty Whitlock: Whitlock’s work also uses layering and embroidery in her work, by using a heat press she melts multiple bags together and then embroils text onto it. this really inspired me to think of my ideas for the exam especially about layering

I Create Street Art Using Plastic Bags To Encourage People To Recycle

All of us know that mankind litters nature surrounding them with waste of their activity. We buy clothes and products which most often are put into polyethylene bags which are also used for garbage. And thus without thinking, we harm the nature, littering the soil and water.

Melted bags and flowers 3: A further development of mixing man made and natural things. for these outcomes i collected flowers and stems and used a heat gun to weld the 2 materials together, creating this extremely textured outcome, this is one of my favourite pieces because of the way the plastic has melted over the flowers and engulfed them into a plastic cocoon.
