Ulta is having 5X points on all purchases through 7/4/15 and 40% off a few brands including L'Oréal. So of course, I paid them a visit and got the Le Matte lipstick that I’ve been eying in She’s so Matte. It looks so similar to the Lorac Pro Matte lipstick in Mauve, but much cheaper especially now that it’s on sale.

I did a Google search to see if any beauty bloggers have posted about these products being dupes. After finding no results I thought I’d put it out there myself. I don’t have the Lorac version so I can’t say for sure that they are comparable. I’m just so fascinated with  drugstore dupes of high end cosmetics and whether they live up to their pricier counterparts. I might just have to get the Lorac PRO Matte to find out.

The Weeknd - Can’t Feel My Face

I have not been loving The Weeknd’s work lately, but when I heard “Can’t Feel My Face” about a week ago, I liked it a lot. Every time the songs “Earned It” and “Love Me Harder” came on the radio, I was quick to switch stations. “Often” was tolerable but none of his stuff has caught my ear since he first came out, until now. No idea what the song’s about but, in my opinion, this sound suits his voice so much better.

We get a decent 20% employee discount at the Warner Bros gift shop,  “Central Perk” :). I’ve gotten gifts for family/friends including a Harry Potter wand, a Batman onesie and several Papyrus cards (one of the only items excluded from our discount). They also sell random cosmetic products such as the Crabtree & Evelyn pomegranate hand cream I previously blogged about. Not sure why I’ve never taken advantage of the slightly cheaper butter LONDON polishes but I made up for lost time with these 2 shades (left: Kerfuffle & right: Macbeth). I learned that they get a shipment once per quarter so I’m looking forward to the upcoming shades in a few months.

"Color Match your foundation across different brands!"

This site helped me pick out shades in the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (#57 Bronze) & Serum Foundation of the same name (#56 Light Bronze). Neither product is sold in US drugstores so I purchased online through Amazon and Asos websites. Hoping the color matches are accurate!

Compartés Chocolatier bars have such interesting flavors that I’ve been curious about them for a few weeks now. I decided to get a couple bars when I picked up my lunch from Olive & Thyme today. If they weren’t so pricey ($10 each), I would have loved these as giveaways for our geometric-themed wedding.

I’ve been gravitating toward pomegranate scents lately which began with the hand lotion from Crabtree & Evelyn. Once I saw the Aveeno body lotion and Dove deodorant at Target, I wanted to get them to complement one another rather than wearing various scents that would compete/conflict.
