🌦  «  Ewan Mcgregor.  Male.  He/Him. 50 »  was  that Daniel Graves  walking  through  the  doors  of  amorelux  ?  i  heard  they  just  moved  in  to  apartment  number 803  from  Chicago and  work  as  an  ER nurse  they  seem  polite & friendly  but  don’t  get  on  their  bad  side  !  they  can  be  petty & blunt  which  makes  sense  since  they’re  a Cancer.  you  know  they’re  home  when  you  see  a  flash  of  colorful scrubs, classic music & books.  

Daniel always had a bit of a hard time figuring out what he wanted in life and thinking back those questions had in fact cause him to accidently burn some bridges,when it come to his professional life, as a young man, Dan had a dfficult time chosing what he wanted to do, but once he did, once he got into health care, he knew he had found his calling, there has always been a part of Dan, eager to help and care for others.  As time when by, Daniel continued to live pretty much for the job, sure he had fun, sure he’d go out have drinks with friends, he had always been a social guy, however, it was never enough for him to mantain a stable relationship, and after his little brother, someone who always said he’d never fall in love, not only did so as he got married,and started a family, Daniel realized, it was time for him to get a fresh start, to finally stop with all the questions and fears and work to mantain relationship, it’s never too late, right?  So,after a co-worker told him about the ER in Seattle being understaffed, Daniel decided to apply for the job and see how it goes from there... Daniel is : Polite, a bit of a jokester, he cares maybe a little too much, but he can be very petty if people fall on his bad side. He’s a family man even if he never had one of his own, he loves his parents and little brother and will talk about them a lot. Mostly Dan just wants to live the best life he can, and hopefully find that connection he’s been missing for so long.

“  i  hope  moving  wasn’t  too  brutal  for  you  ,  ”  the  blonde  comments  ,  glancing  up  from  her  phone  .  “  i  saw  how  unbelievably  hectic  it  got  for  some  people  .  i  swear  ,  it’s  like  college  move-in  day  or  something  !  ”  she  shakes  her  head  fondly  .  “  anyways  ,  without  revealing  too  much,  the  team  might  have  a  little  something  in  the  works  for  everyone  .  ”

“It wasn’t that bad,” Dan smiles a the blonde woman, “When you know the right people to help you move the heavier boxes it makes it a lot easier, “ He jokes amused. “Oh? not that’s interesting, I’ve been settling into work, so my social life has been close to none,” Dan smiles once more, “I mean, assuming it can be called a ..social event. Oh!” he reaches out his hand for a shake, “Daniel Graves, please call me Dan.”

“I’m sorry?” Dan calls out to the other as he notices them approaching, “Have you by an chance found a set of keys? I seem to have lost mine,” he looks inside his pocket once again, “I could swear I had them before I step inside the elevator...”

“Hudson,” the former marine correctly gruffly, “just Hudson.” It wasn’t his decision to even come to the hospital. His employer said it was company policy they make sure he was okay since the injury happened ‘on the job’ – probably didn’t want him going after worker’s compensation or hazard pay. Truth be told, Hudson didn’t have the time or care to go through all of that. For him, this was a mere flesh wound and he’d definitely had a lot worse. He wanted to be back on the boat to help finish off-loading the haul. And yet he was here, dealing with an overly chatty nurse who was way too in his damn business. The fisherman held out his arm in some mute silence so the man had access to the up-and-down freshly bleeding cut there, fully planning to get through this interaction without losing his temper. “Wonderful,” Hudson muttered under breath and rolled his eyes after the nurse stated they live in the same building. In fact, he had known this. It was hard to drop old habits – in the military, he was trained to pay attention and stay alert. Faces were easy to recall at this point and no, this wasn’t the first time he’d seen Nurse Graves. Graves? Christ, what a name to have in a hospital. “I don’t see how that’s your business,” he reprimanded the other in a curt manner, finally leveling him with a firm stare. He wasn’t here to discuss his life with this guy, he just needed him to slap a bandaid on so he could go. “Metal whiplash.” Hudson just happened to be in the way when one of their steel lines snapped and whipped him right across the arm. He was lucky, they said. But was he?

“Okay,” Dan nods, “Just Hudson, like Cher?” he jokes playfully even though it was clear that the man was not here to small talk or any kinds of jokes, he moves closer as the man allows him better access to his arm and the wound, Dan starts to clean it, reminaning silent but not for long, “It is funny isn’t it?” of course, Hudson’s tone left no invitation to continue to talk about  but oh well, “How the world works, we living at the same building and here we are, maybe it’s fate you landed into my hands, so to say,” he looks at the other, frowning, “I am sorry I didn’t mean to offend you, you are in fact right, it is none of my business, specially coming from a nurse I should know not to stick my nose in your medical history. I am sorry,” he was being honest, he didn’t mean to offend Hudson but he could understand how that could be a bit of a personal question. “Oh. was it job related? well, its sems to be just a flesh wound, I’ll get you out of here in not time,” Dan assures him. “Perhaps I even keep you company home as my shift is almost over,” he jokes.

Erin raises an eyebrow.” You can’t figure out your phone?” He fights the urge to roll his eyes at the other when he hears him.” If you were then it is a poor attempt at a pick up line, probably the worst I ever heard.” It takes him a moment but then it dawns on him just why the man looks so familiar, the face, the voice,  his older now but still just as handsome, terribly so. Daniel had aged like fine wine which made Erin want to curse, how was it possible for someone to look this good. He straightens, arms crossing over his chest.” You aren’t wrong. You do know me and I will give you a moment to think about why that is.”

“I can’t figure out why it keps dying on me,” Dan says as he places the phone back in his pocket he didn’t want to sound like a lost old man that yelled at their phones, but honest, maybe it was time to buy a new one, “Certainly I wouldn’t think to hit on you with such...lack of calss?” Daniel chuckles, and yet again, there’s something in the man’s attitude the frown on his face, it was so familiar, it was as if he has been told off like this before, he was starting to sound almost like...Oh my God, a smile starts to appear on Dan’s lips as his brain finally makes the connection, “No way!” he says, “Oh my God, Erin?! its you ins’t it?” Dan moves closer placing his hand on man’s shoulder, “You look good!” he truly did, “And as grumpy as ever!” he laughs, “Come on! what are you waiting for!” Dan opens his arms, “I think old friends deserve a hug!”

“Mr...Hudson,” Dan says as he walks into the man’s room, “I’m nurse Graves, I was asked by the doctor to take care of you injury, so as you can see they are passing on more work to the nurse staff,which means you will not die, that is good news right?” Daniel jokes as he gathed his things, putting on the rubber gloves to start to look after the man, “Oh you seem familiar, I think we live in the same bulding,” Dan smiles, come to think of it, he had seen the man around the hospital before, “Are you doing physical therapy here? my buddy works there and sometimes I go meet them for lunch I swear I’ve seen you around there a couple of times,” he says, trying to start some kind of chat while he cared for the man’s wounds, Daniel knew even on small injuries, keeping the patients distracted was good. “So how did you managed that?” @amore-hudson​

Erin was making his way to his apartment when he almost bumped into someone by the elevator.” Why are you just standing here?” It was a bad habit of his. complaining just came natural, so when he saw the other he couldn’t help but call their attention.” At least stand to the side, someone might get hurt.” Erin frowns as he glances up at him, the stranger seemed familiar but he couldn’t quite place him.” What? Why are you staring?”

Daniel was too focus on that stupid phone that kept dying on him to even realize what was going on around him, “Come on, you stupid thing,” he mubbles, stoping in his tracks, then he hears the voice, Dan looks up, “Sorry I was trying to figure out what’s the matter with this darn thing, people make this fancy devices an--” he cuts himself for a second, that grump attitude... and that face why did all seem so familiar?, “I’m sorry... do I know you? I just” he tilts his head, “I have a feeling I’ve seen you before, I’m not hitting on you,” Daniel chuckles, “Really, you look familiar...”

          “  hey,  i didn’t steal your laundry basket.  i borrowed it,  because i left mine upstairs.  your clothes are still there,  aren’t they  ?  no harm,  no foul.  “  said laundry basket is being held hostage on a washing machine,  his arm draped casually over it.  “  and i brought it back safely,  didn’t i  ?  “          @amoreluxstart​

“Well, then perhaps next time you should consider asking first? I have no problem with sharing, but I also don’t appreciate my things being taken like that,” Daniel places a hand on his hip as she watches the other, “Do you mind returning it, then?”

@amoreluxstart​ // Laurel was in a mood. Well, it was more of a phase. All she did lately was devour mysteries. Podcasts, books, movies, shows – you name it, she’d inhaled it. An unfortunate side effect of her media gluttony was a desperate, unscratchable itch to solve her own mystery. So, on her day off, she lurked around the corner from the ground floor elevator with a brand new recording device whirring in her hand as she waited for that ding! to signal someone had arrived, and hopefully brought some excitement.

“No listen,” Dan says on the phone as he steps out of the elevator, “I’m fine, I apreciate the worry, little brother, but truly I am fine as soon as I can I’ll fly over to see you an the kid,” Dan pauses for a bit, “I am certain, look I have to go,” he looks around, “For Chist sake, I missed my floor, I gotta go, say hi to the husband in the kid for me,” Dan hangs up the phone, noticing the girl for the first time, “Oh...hello, sorry, dear, I didn’t see you there,” he looks at the device in her hand, “Can I ask what exactly are you doing? is everything okay?”

Dan looks down at the drink that’s placed in front on him, “Why not, I’m never one to say no to a free drink,” he smiled, raising the glass in a bit of a cheers kinda of way, he takes a sip, looking over at the other, “Mmm... I don’t know... the taste is just...weird,” he jokes, chuckling a little,  I’m joking, it is very good,” Daniel nods, “I think the folks behind the bar have no clue what they’re talking about,” he fashes the other a smile, “Daniel Graves,” he says, reaching his hand for a shake, “but, please since you’re offering me drinks call me Dan,” he jokes once more, “so why are the bartenders doubting your drink making skills? if I may ask.”
