Imagine:
You and Dan are dating long distance. During a video call with him, he winks at you like this.
Imagine:
Dan psyching himself up to go on a date with you.
Imagine:
You’re filming a video with Dan, and at one point, you glance over to find him looking at you like this.
Imagine:
You work at the BBC with Dan and Phil, and one day after the Internet Takeover, Dan says something he thinks is witty, trying to impress you, but then realizes once it’s too late how awkward it actually sounds and looks away, making this face.
Imagine:
It’s a Saturday afternoon in London, not particularly different to any others at a first glance, and you’re staring at Starbucks in the light rain, trying to work up the courage to go inside. You come here often, to this building on Baker Street, and yet today you struggle to step inside like you have so many times in the past, because you knew. You knew he’d be in there, waiting for you to join him at his table, and for a reason that you didn't quite understand, that terrified you. You knew it was normal to be a little nervous, to have those infamous butterflies, but this was different. It felt as if something pivotal was waiting on this moment - as if walking in and sitting down at that table would change your life forever. You entertain the idea only long enough to denounce it, innocently unaware of just how true it would turn out to be, before finally working up the courage to enter the café. You glance around in search of the tall man you’re here to meet, and soon find him sat in a booth near the back of the room, distracted by the screen of his phone. He has a black coat beside him, and is clad in an equally dark sweater, and even from where you’re stood, his brown eyes are the most beautiful ones you’ve seen. You tell yourself one last time that you can do this, and then take a deep breath, before beginning to close the discrepancy. He looks up as you approach him, and the phone is slid away as a smile lights up his face, instantly putting you at ease.
“Hi. How are you?”
