Power in a King's Blood → Daniel and Klaus
"Why did you have me meet you here?" Daniel frowned as he walked through the woods, slowing down as he reached a place he hadn't seen in over a thousand years. He frowned at the thought of being back here, it wasn't exactly a place he wanted to visit, despite the good memories it had. And he definitely was not a fan of being alone in the woods with Klaus. Not that he could do much damage, but still, it would be an annoyance. He looked around the clearing, folding his arms over his chest before turning back to the hybrid, face clear of any emotion other than mild annoyance.
Daniel was wondering when this conversation was going to happen. Something was coming for him and he was sure that Klaus only cared because it wasn't him that was getting revenge. They hadn't been close in a long time, and they weren't friends anymore. At least Daniel didn't think of him as a friend. Perhaps if things had gone differently they might have had that chance but Klaus had a way of ruining the people he cared about and pushing them away, and enough had been enough for Daniel.
Sighing, he looked away, not wanting to even look at Klaus anymore. "I hope this is important. I had other things I could be doing, like filing my nails or watching the paint dry." He shifted, looking back towards the trees. This was just an uncomfortable experience and he wondered just how much Klaus was enjoying watching him squirm about it.
