🌱🧚Finding Earth Spirits In The Wild🧚🌱

🌱Earth spirits are just about the easiest ones to make contact with. Their forms tend to be less subtle than those of many fairies,and they generally stick to one place- so if you feel a location is haunted by these beings, it will always be haunted. Wherever anything grows, there will be a fairy to attend to it.

🌱 Earth fairies love gardens,and will gather round you while you are planting and watering. At the end of a hot day they exult when you get out the hose or watering can, and will dance among the refreshed flowers with glee. Often they do not like you weeding,though,so make sure you always do this with respect. Leave a patch of your garden to grow wild, for the fairies love this and it creates a space for all the plants that are unwelcome elsewhere- just because humans do not like them, this does not mean they do not have a valuable place in the scheme of things.

🧚 Method 🧚

To draw close to the gnomes,settle quietly in your garden or in a park,woodland, field, or hillside- close to a barrow-mound may be the most powerful place of all. Gnomes of the deep earth may be experienced in a cave or hollow,whereas others may be more of the flower- or tree-fairy types. Let your bare feet and hands make contact with the earth,mud or stone. Beat a soft rhythm on a drum,if you wish.

Be very still, relaxed,and quiet. Try not to see anything,because that will put you in the wrong frame of mind. Just be there, and be observant- these spirits do not show themselves in the ways you might expect, and seeing them can seem almost ordinary.

Be aware of any little movements out of the corner of your eye, for that is where spirits are often first perceived. An animal running in the undergrowth may also be a shy gnome in disguise. Look out for the face of the Green Man among the leaves, and watch flowers, for they can also be sweet faces, nodding and smiling.

To show they have drawn close to you, gnomes will often give you a tangible gift,such as a coin or a piece of jewelry. If you find this on your path,treasure it, for it is very lucky.

Jealousy is an emotion and emotions are valid, but don’t attack people if they get more attention from Sean. He’s one person. There are 22 million of us. If someone posts more frequently in the tag, he’s bound to see it.

That being said, don’t post just to get Sean’s attention. Post because you want to share. Getting his attention is nice but this is a community who all love interacting and sharing :)

Streams are fun, but we keep them just as nice there and spam free.

Don’t feel intimidated by bigger accounts. They’re more than likely very kind and willing to chat, again they’re no more important than you or anyone else here.

You’ll see a lot of references to PMA which means Positive Mental Attitude. It doesn’t mean forcing happiness or spamming others or shaming them for not being happy. No one is 100% happy all the time and that is ok. PMA is about trying your best everyday and being the best version of yourself that you can. If you’re having a shit day, have it, learn from it and try again tomorrow. Never be ashamed if you’re not happy all the time. No one is. Keep on fighting and stick in there!

Constructive feedback to Sean is more than ok but blatant hate gets nowhere. If you have concerns, express them politely and try to be understanding that Sean is doing his best, as are the rest of us.

We do monthly charity streams with pins and games. Its ok if you can’t donate and if you can, every dollar counts. Be sure to spread links and such with everyone you can!

if the 3rd graders who come to my job can understand that we have to shear our sheep for their benefit as well as ours, idk why the grown adults at peta can’t.

intentional fearmongering and misinformation about domestic livestock doesn’t even hurt the big companies– yknow, the ones whose practices may actually be harmful. it hurts the family farmers, the local farms who actually put effort into caring for their animals.

are you one of those people mislead by peta and other biased sources? well, here’s some facts, from someone who works directly with sheep:

domestic sheep need to be sheared. they don’t shed like wild sheep– like literally, at all. if we don’t shear them, it just keeps growing. which leads to problems like heat exhaustion, the wool gets too heavy for them, it can grow up around their eyes and hold dirt & debris there and blind them. it matts and rips and is horrible for the animals.

shearing is not a violent process. at all. we demonstrate our shearing every year to the public and small children and it is not traumatic for anyone involved, esp not the sheep. here’s how it works:

when you get a sheep off balance, they freeze. its just how sheep do, if you throw off their equilibrium they’re just like “alright. this is my life now.” so the shearer wrangles the sheep, and as soon as they get her off her feet and either on her back or her bottom, they freeze. ours sits them down like people and its hilarious to see!

then, using electric shears that have the same safety features as the kind you use to shave people hair, the shearer shaves the fleece off in one big piece. they’ll move the sheep around to get to some spots, and when they’re done, they just let go and step back. the sheep stands up and toddles off, and viola! done!

just like with human haircuts, sometimes they get nicks from the razor. it’s never enough to warrant concern–its just like when you nick yourself shaving in the shower. it doesn’t hurt them much at all, happens very rarely if at all, and it heals within a day or two. sheeps’ skin makes lanolin, an oil that helps heal these minor wounds as well as keep their wool healthy. its used in a lot of our products as well– namely lotion!

we shear our sheep the first weekend of april. once a year, in that sweet spot so that they won’t be too hot in summer but it gives it time to grow back and keep em warm in the winter. you know the first thing our sheep do every time they get sheared?

they go to the nearest fence post and scratch all those itchy spots they couldn’t reach through their wool.

it is good, healthy, nontraumatic and helpful for humans to shear domestic sheep as long as its done correctly, which isn’t hard to do. if anyone tells you otherwise, they don’t know what they’re talking about.

i know this is a touchy or private subject but what are your thoughts on people saying you cheated on signe?

It’s the biggest rumour I’ve seen float around and it really sucks. The fact that people who watch me think that I could even be capable of doing that disappointed me. I’ve been wondering for a while if I should even say something about it or not because it usually leads to even more speculation spreading but I hate seeing such a shitty lie being spread around about me.

But to stop it spreading any further I’m going to say this once for clarity. I did not cheat on Signe and I have never cheated on anyone in my life. I’ve been cheated on in my early twenties and would never do that to someone else. I don’t know where it started but I’m ending the rumour now.

I know people want a juicy story and because you don’t have all the info it’s easy (and fun for some even) to speculate how anything went down. Nothing crazy happened between us, I just wasn’t happy anymore and it wasn’t fair on anyone involved. 

Please be respectful of the people involved when they talk about these things and their relationships. We’re still people at the end of the day and we see basically everything you write.We just choose to share what we feel like sharing at the time, you will never have the full story so starting rumours makes things SO much worse. 

I also don’t want to see people spamming tags about it after reading this message either trying to “defend” me or anything like that. What ends up happening is the defenders start attacking the accusers and this whole mess gets worse. Let’s leave it at this message and move on.

I like that we’re the same size (we can literally wear each other’s clothes), and that he treats me like a princess (holding the door, grabbing things for me, too many presents, the roses), but most of all, all the cuddles, kisses, and his laugh ❤️
