MDZS Q is okay but the normal MDZS dongua's art style is so ugly I can't even enjoy it. The manhua looks so much better imo.

LBH's hottest moment is when he's at the water prison with the girl from Huan Hua Palace, he destroyed her whip and threw it into the acid. He didn't even say anything, and made someone who thinks she's a bad bitch feel like a little girl. People often criticize mxtx for relying on archetypes, I'd rely on archetypes too if I can build characters from archetypes as well as her. I hope she will write a BG novel one day.
.
In the Tian Ya Ke novel and the Seventh Lord novel, ZZS is the one who's more morally compromised, and has more to apologize for. They chose WKX to be the villain and added a lot more questionable decisions to his character, this is clearly out of concern for censorship. What ZZS did was state sponsored crimes, he served the current emperor and his actions were considered to be "for the greater good", to portray him to be villainous is more risky. I just feel bad for WKX's character in the show.

飞天夜翔 (Fei Tian Ye Xiang) is a very popular male danmei writer, he's said to be gay. One of his works is also locked on JJ for explicit content. People need to stop praising censorship just because they want PG13 content. It's not just mxtx or fujo who're affected by censorship. Moreover, China's publishing industry is heavily controlled by CCP, their online novel portals are the only platform that offer aspiring writers relative freedom. People who support censorship in another country (con't)
because they're angry at oversexualization in the media in their own country are very selfish. Some people here are too young to understand the complexity of human sexual desires. If your idea of ideal romance is "pure" and "chaste", that's fine, but it doesn't give you the right to force this stereotype on the LGBT community. Your preferences aren't better or superior. (End)
that "mo rans world TURNED AROUND and SHATTERED when he realised shi mei's wontons were actually cwn's wontons" thing is so weird lmfao that has to be the least normal thing about him to me
.
mdzs donghua had such bad character designs at first that I couldn't tell the characters apart. wq looked like nmj. madam yu looked like wang lingjiao. the lan bros were unique cause both of them looked dumb as fuck. ljy looks like lsz.
.
Shan He Ling and Tian Ya Ke (the novel) are thematically too different for me to view them as the same story. I like them both tho. The two things the live action adaptation got absolutely right are the homoeroticism is sooo in your face (real tired of cql and their "subtext is better" wank) and they got two actors who can actually act
.
I'm probably the only one who doesn't get the 3zun and 3tumor comparison. They're nothing similar except they're a group made up of 3 persons. 3zun is made up by the main villain, two side characters who have no storyline of their own and whose characterization is largely reflected in their relationships with jgy and each other. In comparison, all 3 characters in the 3tumor have their own subplots that are not related to the other two.
.
I understand the logic of "write what you know" but the thing is I know as much about modern college life as fic writers, it doesn't have the same appeal and novelty as the novel when wwx can't flute zombies because he's a art student in a modern AU who drinks redbull instead of tianzixiao
.
People need to let Pei Ming be the fuckboy that he is and stop self inserting in Yu Shi Huang and ship her with Pei Ming.
.
people who're like mxtx is so extra when she describes how pretty LWJ is, you should read how Meng Xi Shi wrote Shen Qiao and how Tang Jiu Qing wrote Shen Lanzhou. mxtx is very restrained in comparison.
.
It's mind blowing to me that there are fic writers who're writing for the mdzs fandom but have never read the novel or finished any of the other adaptations. They just write for the fandom because it's big.
.
Word of Honor made me change my mind about live action adaptation of danmei, or I should say "double male lead" drama as the chinese now say to avoid unwanted attention from the authorities. I previously thought they simply cannot be good because of the restrictions and it's hard to find the right actors. I now concede at least wuxia danmei can be made into good live action drama.
.
Too many people are writing family fics in the mdzs fandom, just want to see my ship have lurid sex. The juniors, the uncles, and in laws get on my nerves.
.
It's hard to hype Meng Xi Shi in the English speaking fandom tho, Qian Qiu isn't fully translated. The donghua is still on going. I checked the latest chapter, I almost coughed up blood. The translation says "blood gas" when they mean blood circulation.
.
I wish people would stop gushing about "why isn't this censored" for Word of Honor and leaving dumb comments on their YouTube and Twitter pages. That could stall or end it being released. People are complaining about the translations being "bad" or other things. I just want a Priest adaptation that's good.
.
Why do people use chu fei as it was some affectionate and lovely nickname... bro, that is completely derogatory, a clear ridicule from taxian-jun when he hated him and wanted to humiliate Chu Wanning.
