The Danny Mahealani Project

An archive of all things canon Danny.

Danny knows about werewolves, but what do we know about Danny? This project seeks to construct a database of Danny from Teen Wolf canon. Whether that's Danny hanging out next to Jackson at lacrosse practice, or Ethan and Scott talking about Danny while everybody's favorite is off who knows where. If Danny is seen or mentioned, it'll be here on this blog.

So how's this going to work?

For each episode of Teen Wolf, there will be a series of posts:

Every episode, whether Danny is mentioned or forgotten, will have a text post detailing the Danny-relevant happenings in that episode.

For those episodes where the screen has been graced with his presence, gif sets of these glorious moments will follow the initial text post.

All of this will be wonderfully tagged and categorized for easy reference.

As of now, the blog is caught up through (the barren) Season 4, but the queue is full of other Danny related posts to satisfy you during the hiatus. As always, the ask box is open!

Danny Mahealani - Circle of the Shepherd Druid

Druids of the Circle of the Shepherd commune with the spirits of nature, especially the spirits of beasts and the fey, and call to those spirits for aid. These druids recognize that all living things play a role in the natural world, yet they focus on protecting animals and fey creatures that have difficulty defending themselves. Shepherds, as they are known, see such creatures as their charges. They ward off monsters that threaten them, rebuke hunters who kill more prey than necessary, and prevent civilization from encroaching on rare animal habitats and on sites sacred to the fey. Many of these druids are happiest far from cities and towns, content to spend their days in the company of animals and the fey creatures of the wilds.

June Character of the Month

In probably the most exciting poll yet, y'all selected Danny Mahealani for our June 2024 Rarepair Character of the Month! Seriously, every time I looked at it, the leader board was different, but Danny was always top three.

For this entire month, the goal is to create rarepair content that includes Danny. These can be romantic, platonic, sexual, familial, etc. Any kind of relationship welcome. Ditto for the medium. Wanna write a fic? Please do! Fanart? Yes. Mood boards? Absolutely! Be as creative as you want!

The only real rule is that to count as a rarepair, the relationship tag must have less than 500 works on Ao3. Here are a few ships (romantic and not) that fit that bill if you need a bit of inspiration!

Welcome back to Danny Mahealani Shipping Week! This year, it’s a holiday week: Dec 19th - 25th, 2020.

As with every year, our purpose is to increase the amount of content for any and all the Danny ships, whether it takes the form of fanfic, art, gifs, playlists, edits, or anything else. You can check out our shipping glossary for inspiration, or you can create a brand new ship for the world to enjoy.

We’ve provided suggested themes for each day, although it’s not mandatory to follow them. The purpose is to get inspired, and if that means going by your own themes, then we approve! You can participate as many or as few times as you’d like, and there are no hard deadlines here.
