I can’t thinking about this line. You know, we call them dads as a parasocial joke or whatever, but here’s Daniel Goddamn Howell telling our parents to love us or it’s their job.

Sure, maybe calling Dan and Phil “dads” is still a joke, but to the people who found them as an escape for so so many years, it’s more than that. They loved us when our parents didn’t, even if we’ve never met them. They nodded in encouragement to embrace our weirdness and be who we are when in real life we can’t.

So yes, thank you for loving us, for being proud of us, for doing everything you can. Thank you Dan and Phil, I will never get tired of saying we love you too.
