Harry's eyebrow raised in confusion before an expressionless mask formed on his features. This was not a question he'd ever expected to hear from Daphne Greengrass of all people- they were friends, and he found himself enjoying spending time with her more and more lately. But what in Merlin's name was he supposed to say? This felt like a trap, but he also didn't think Daphne was exactly like that.
"It's crossed my time once or twice." Harry said finally, looking out at the view from the astronomy tower- he had originally come here to be alone, but hadn't really complained when Daphne had tagged along. Shrugging he slid his hands into the pockets of his robes and glanced at her, "Is that a problem?"
she wasn't sure what made her ask. curiosity killed the cat after all. but she couldn't help but wonder. while she had been friends with the slytherin boys for what seemed like her whole life, she knew that people assumed girls and boys women and men couldn't be just friends. daphne was curious on what was going on in harry's head in regards to her. and if she shocked him enough, she could get some entertainment out of it.
his response brought a smirk to her lips but when he continued, she paused, rolling his question over in her head. was it a problem? ‘ no, not a problem. ’ she answered honestly, the words passing her lips without thinking too much about it. it didn't change anything about their friendship. if anything, she respected him more for actually being honest with her. ‘ don't worry - i'm not expecting you to be my escort to the next hogsmeade day now. ’
