Maybe the most accurate word to describe America’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic is insanity - trying to do the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Both sides need to stop what we know isn’t working, get together and figure out a united strategy centered on science, honest and openness. The American people on both sides are tried and it is beyond time for the leaders of this Country to step up and put aside their differences.
What’s Missing in American Politics
The idea that two grown adults can’t enter into a civilized discussion about how to best care for people that they have been elected to represent seems to me to be the underlining problem in America. Instead of simply trying to score political points, what does it look like to truly work together for the good of the country? Whatever the answer, a civilized discussion seems to be the minimum action required.
