I think I’ve figured out what went wrong with Voltron.Â
You know how they say ‘one person dying, two dying, a family dying is a tragedy. Two million people dying is statistics’?
That. There’s a limit to our comprehension, things should stay within a certain scale so we’d be able to process it.
And Voltron, in its pursuit of being the epicest space adventure, simply lost sight of the scale and went beyond it. It fell over the event horizon. It talks so loud that we can’t hear it.
It tried to drive the point home so forcefully, that it destroyed the target.

Some Interesting things I noticed about them
Ladnok’s uniform is similar to Sendak’s second uniform
Hepta, Ladnok and Sendak are seen working with Haggar directly
Ladnok and Hepta’s not only have similar facial features, but they are have wider and thicker arms/hands than a lot of Galra. Taking this into account, Hepta’s organic hand size may have been as large as his prosthetic. They also share the same bulky arm armor design.
Ladnok and Hepta look like the love child of an original Nalquod and Galra.
