Just a thought
One of my thoughts today was how funny it is that sometimes we get put in the situations in predicaments that we least expect. Sometimes these turn out to be the best things. Today was the first time I've gotten to actually sing for the congregation at my church. I've never really consider myself to be much of a singer and I honestly don't really prefer my own voice. I question that a lot because I understand that so many great singers that turned out to be fairly appreciated for their vocal style, tend to not like their voice. But today was really special because my daughter was present at church as well and although she is five years old, today was her first time ever being a part of anything on a stage. Although she stood there with her kazoo and Jingle Bells and hummed along through the kazoo to Jingle Bells as I led a kids group, it was a very proud moment and she certainly did not shy away from it. Although that is to be expected with the considerations that she like the rest of my family is very artsy and we seem to be born for the stage
My drive home can be interesting sometimes, but most of the time not so much. The important takeaway is that it can be incredibly productive in many ways. Because of the fact that I drive roughly an hour in either direction I go to work, I have a lot of time to get lost into my thoughts. I have a lot of time to pray and reflect and listen. I also have an absurd amount of time to make mental notes of mixes that I've been working on or ways to grow my business endeavors. Sometimes it affords me the time to talk to friends that I haven't spoken with him sometime. Ultimately the possibilities are endless when you have a 1 hour drive home from work but I think the best part about it sometimes it's just having some personal time to myself where I can get away from the hustle and bustle of customers that demand a lot from you, as well as just little annoyances that you get to unwind from each day. At either rate, sometimes it's just fun to set up my camera phone on the mount and let it record some hyperlapse on the way home. Something about a hyperlapse video is relaxing to watch later and ultimately will create a memory without it being an hour long video of your drive home
As a classical guitarist, this piece has always held a special place in my heart. Now offering private lessons via skype/google duo, and private performances and more.
Wow the new record is remarkable!
